TeleBlend Reviews

TeleBlend is a residential VoIP phone service provider that provides broadband phone coverage in 85% of the United States. As a company, TeleBlend strives to deliver full-featured, low-cost, and plug-and-play service to consumers. Plus, with certain deals, you can even get internet as a part of the bargain.

How does TeleBlend work?

TeleBlend works with your existing broadband internet connection and in conjunction with an included TeleBlend adapter (the "Gizmo") to help you make and receive calls. Here is what you will need for TeleBlend service:

  • An existing broadband internet connection
  • A corded or cordless analog phone
  • A TeleBlend adapter (the "Gizmo")

TeleBlend offers a variety of plans. The Unlimited Calling plan is one of the cheapest on the market: only $15.95 a month for unlimited residential calls between the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada—and without a contract. The Unlimited Annual Plan offers the same features and calling, but requires a contract to lock in the lower price. Their Global Unlimited Plan runs a few dollars more per month but includes unlimited calling to 47 popular countries (it also requires a one-year contract). The Global Limited Plan, in contrast, offers 300 international minutes to 42 countries, but without a contract.

TeleBlend’s most cost-effective option is the High-Speed DSL with Phone Plan. This bundle has an upper price limit of $39.99 a month, significantly cheaper than similar broadband internet services, not to mention the included VoIP telephone service.

Don't keep putting in trouble tickets cause they cancel all but the latest which dumps you to the end of the que. Chances are they will cancel all the tickets.
Had service for about 2 weeks before it went south. Cancelled my automatic bill pay since I had no service, they charged my card anyway.
no service for the last 20 days

From call quality, it seems as good as the previous one I had, sunrocket. Only complaint I have is their customer service is too slow and quite haphazard in following up.

inexpensive, all the features of most voip phone providers
poor customer service, prepare to wait for loooong times to get through customer service

Now after almost a month of service I will tell you Tele – Blend is not a service I would recommend at all. There have been repeated service interruptions and my international calls cut off after 18 minutes of talking a real pain. There is nothing to say positive really. The only thing going right now is the cost I can’t say I had a bad experience with the customer service. The sound quality and features are ok but the reliability is a ZERO. When it is working its is good but what is the point of having service when it on again off again. Time to look for a reliable voip company that offer great rates for the countries I call. A ton of features are nice but most people never use them I need reliable service

I was a Sunrocket Customer who chose to go to Teleblend as the easiest way to continue VOIP phone service when Sunrocket decided to terminate service. Packet8 was also suggested by Sunrocket but new hardware was required. Later I learned that
Teleblend paid for this recommendation.
I created two accounts on 7/19/07 and my phones continued to work until 8/04/07 when Sunrocket pulled all their hardware. To date, twenty-four days (24 days) later, I have been without any incoming call capabilities and intermittent outgoing capabilities. Multiple service calls (trouble tickets) have been logged and to this date NOT ONE RETURN CALL FROM ANYONE AT TELEBLEND has been provided.
Their Customer Service Reps range from helpful to rude but the bottom line is that no one has any information to provide about any open ticket. The standard reply is that they will log another call, and/or mark it urgent and someone with call back. THAT CALL NEVER COMES!!!. No escalation process is available above logging a trouble ticket. Supervisors on duty are also taking and logging trouble tickets. Management above that level is not available.
Teleblend had no problem billing me for month two on each account 8/18/07 even though they had not provided promised services to that date. Again, calls were logged to request a refund, yet to date, no refund has been provided on either account. I am still waiting for someone to call me back about that as well.
Today have decided to try another VOIP company and attempted to reach two. I was one hold for 30+ minutes for one and hung up and was on hold again attempting to reach a second. Finally I decided to call Verizon to re-activate my COPPER phone lines. The Customer Service Rep, answered quickly, was helpful, re-opened my accounts, provided a cost competitive package and told me that the PORTIING of my number would occur in 9 days. Of course, they tried to pitch the Verizon FIOS but I
advised them for the moment, I just wanted working phones. I have already made tentative plans to make the Verizon FIOS move in December.....
Goodbye Teleblend VOIP, Hello Verizon........GLAD TO BE BACK!!

None to speak of as my phones have not worked for 24 days!

Had 2 numbers with Sunrocket for over a year. Was very happy with SR. These people just can not deliver. One week I have outbound calls working another week inbound calls are not working. Customer service - forget.... no such thing. My two numbers have been with then for about a month now. One is working kind of OK (no International calling). Another one is no inbound calls for 2 weeks. The only good thing about them is that I did not have to wait forequipment to arrive and port my SR numbers. Pricing is also reasonable but what reasonable pricing is good for if your phone service is DEAD !!! Maybe later on they will pull their act together but I can not wait for that to happen and started looking for somebody else. Just save yourself frustration and do your homework about another company.

NONE but convenience of SR equipment

Signed up with Teleblend when I found out SunRocket was going out. At first service was OK. The last couple of weeks have been terrible. No service, or some calls not connecting, or phone rings on the other end, but I don't hear it, or call connects, but callee can't hear me. NO response from customer service!

I too went to teleblend after Sunrocket. Well, I have been ripped off again. I am trying to get my phone number transferred to AT&T to get a land line. I possibly might try AT&T voip later but I am just tired right now from having off and on phone service since 7/20. I hate so many of us fell for their service. Yes, a land line cost more but less stress for now

teleblend moved into a very difficult situation (sunrocket shutdown) and all in all have done a great job. the task of trying to get many thousands of already angry customers service up and running boggles the mind. i am convinced they have performed the very best they could under the circumstances and i might add with no help from some of the sunrocket carriers ! i was without service for about five days...i stuck it out and am glad i did. i might add that one of the suggested carriers i had tried earlier ( before i signed on with s.r. ) could not port my numbers (which was not an option) which i have had for years. i would sign with teleblend again in a heartbeat. i know that with the sunrocket crash a lot of people were edgy to say the least but from where i stand teleblend was the best choice...there was just no way they could just snap fingers and make several thousand phones begin working......carl from n.c.

they never lied to me even when i demanded to know when service would be restored
