TeleBlend Reviews

TeleBlend is a residential VoIP phone service provider that provides broadband phone coverage in 85% of the United States. As a company, TeleBlend strives to deliver full-featured, low-cost, and plug-and-play service to consumers. Plus, with certain deals, you can even get internet as a part of the bargain.

How does TeleBlend work?

TeleBlend works with your existing broadband internet connection and in conjunction with an included TeleBlend adapter (the "Gizmo") to help you make and receive calls. Here is what you will need for TeleBlend service:

  • An existing broadband internet connection
  • A corded or cordless analog phone
  • A TeleBlend adapter (the "Gizmo")

TeleBlend offers a variety of plans. The Unlimited Calling plan is one of the cheapest on the market: only $15.95 a month for unlimited residential calls between the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada—and without a contract. The Unlimited Annual Plan offers the same features and calling, but requires a contract to lock in the lower price. Their Global Unlimited Plan runs a few dollars more per month but includes unlimited calling to 47 popular countries (it also requires a one-year contract). The Global Limited Plan, in contrast, offers 300 international minutes to 42 countries, but without a contract.

TeleBlend’s most cost-effective option is the High-Speed DSL with Phone Plan. This bundle has an upper price limit of $39.99 a month, significantly cheaper than similar broadband internet services, not to mention the included VoIP telephone service.

I went to Teleblend from Sunrocket due to easy transition and low price. My service continued to work acceptably until Sunrocket servers were turned off. Lost service on 8/15/07. I get dial tone, but only busy signal when trying to make or receive calls. They don't respond to email service requests and their phone service puts you on perpetual hold. I'm sure they are overwhelmed with problems and obviously in way over their heads. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since my service worked for about 3 weeks while other customers were complaining. They are a new provider and claim to have experience from their affiliated companies. But their experience is not shining through at this point. They will fail as all current customers leave and no new customers arrive. I am cutting my losses and moving on to a different provider.

Low price and supposedly easy transition for former Sunrocket customers.
No service and no support. The future looks bleak for this company.

I signed up with Teleblendthe day after I received notice SunRocket was closing. I figured given the low price, lack of a 1-year contract, and "seamless transition," I'd give them a try. The service worked fine for the first a few days then went to crap. First international calling dropped. Then we could make calls, but not receive them. Then we could receive calls, but not make them. Usually all 3 fail. I figured "they're a start-up, I should give them a little time to get running smoothly." Well after being without phone service entirely for over a week now with no estimate on when it might be restored, I've had it. Their product sucks, their service sucks, and if you think the price alone makes it a good deal, consider you'll be paying for something you don't receive and they really don't care. I will be switching service immediately!

None (The low price doesn't matter when you fail to receive the service promised!)
Phone service doesn't work, customer service is unresponsive, transition is not seamless as advertised
No

TeleBlend service is unreliable, no incoming calls, no voicemail for 30 days.

Teleblend is not ready to be a VoIp provider as they struggle to maintain the old Sunrocket equipment. I have had trouble tickets of service being down for over 3 weeks that went unanswered.

none, they advertise seamless transfer however I was down for five days and since that time, my incoming has not worked

We have never had complete service since joining. First, we had no voicemail. Then, we could make calls but not receive them. Now, the caller ID comes up as "Unknown Number" for all calls. All they do is apologize but they don't fix problems and their customer service is horrible. Stay away!

I just wanted to reiterate: if you still aren't getting incoming as so many of us aren't you can still go into the SunRocket site, log in, and use the "simple forwarding" option to point calls to a cell phone or other phone. It simply implies that Teleblend hasn't picked up the account yet (whatever that means) The good news is I can get some calls again. Going away for three days; if no incoming by then I'm switching.

As a former Sunrocket customer for over two years I was happy with their service only a few times did I not have service. Heck the same thing can happen with a landline service. After hearing the bad news I was like everyone else trying to find a service. I did not want a prepaid service because of what just happened so I was looking for a monthly service. I picked three companies 1)VOIP.com, 2)Via Talk 3) VIOP Your Life they all had good features that I would use and some that I would not. I received some conflicting answers when I asked how many customers do you have. I called each twice and received two different answers. After I was being pressed by my wife to do something and waited one week before the notice that said Aug 5 we will shut down for good I took a long look at TeleBlend. Yes I read bad press from sites like this but it came down to my own decision. After all it was only $12.95 plus tax it was about $15 and I was using a credit card so I really could not loose. The one issue I had was the international rate I was taking a chance it would be higher but then again land line rates to one of the countries I call each month would be over 80 cents a min but I could start using calling cards again.
After almost two weeks except for a few minor issues voice mail and international and this past week when the phone was not working at all everything has been ok. After all it was just last Sunday when my cable went out in fact the cable has been out more than Sunrocket service over the past year. After all most people today have a cell phone but I am the exception I do not. But I just might invest in a limited landline phone for about $10.00 a month
30 days from now I will review the services again

Price
No voicemail service and international calls during the transition period and a total shut down of service the week endi
No

No service at all!

I have signed with this Teleband after SunRocket out of business. Their people told me the Teleband will automatic kick in after Sunrocket disconnected the service. But the truth is NOT! I can not make and receive calls except the Teleband 800 number. I called customer 3 times(wait for 30 mins) and send request ticket 3 times. Until today I still have no service. Is this company has ability to handle so many new customers? I'll have to switch to another company if I still have no service next week.

Stay away from this company!

I moved to Teleblend as they promised Sunrocket gizmo will work but nothing can be so misleading. Inbound calls are not coming since the day i signed up. Customer service is poor, their standard reply is "Our technicians are working on it and problem will be fixed". It takes them to 5 days to respond to trouble tickets opened online and the responses also contain standard verbiage but no solution to your problem. This company is fraud. Don't waste yyour money on it.
