With the Ooma Telo Plan Rate option, users can use up to 1,000 minutes of international calling for under $10 per month. Some things you just can't go wrong with and Ooma Telo is one of them. I've used one for several years and am very happy with it. The call quality is unmatched and the price just can't be beat.

I hardly use my home phone so I didn't need the extra cost the local phone company charged. Ooma is always up and running and worth the cost.

I've never had any issue's with my Telo Service since day one. It's saved me a lot of money and allowed me to keep my landline alive for minimal cost. Clear sound and I've never had an outage related to the Ooma system

Pros Low Cost and good quality.

Cons The base service has little to know additional features and you have to pay another $5.00 to $6.00 a month to get the premium service. I think the number block should be part of the base service.

I started saving money from day one. I have been using Ooma since 2014 . Best thing was getting rid of over priced standards phone line . Don’t for to down load the app on your cell phone

We've been using Ooma for probably 8 years or more. I have to tell you, that I've never regretted switching to a VOIP. The phone company took a hike. We love having a home phone, as we do use it instead of our cell phones when we are home. You can't tell it's a VOIP - the calls are amazing.

Pros CONSISTANTLY GREAT CALL QUALITY

Cons Inital equipment cost - When the internet goes down, so does the phone

The Ooma Telo is the Best telecommunications product I have ever purchased . I started saving money Immediately and was able to tell att goodbye . And dont forget to download the app ,you will never miss a call and if you can get wifi ,you wont even need a cell phone , There should be 10 stars for price !

Since joining OOMA several years ago, I have had no regrets. OOMA has saved me hundreds of dollars on my phone bill. My clarity of calls is so much better than it was with my old phone companies landline. I love that I can call my family and friends all over Canada and the US at no extra cost, and all the bells and whistles are included in the price (call forwarding, call waiting, call answer and even a second phone line). I think moving to OOMA was one of the best decisions we have ever made. I love the feature that if my power goes out, the phone calls are rerouted to my cell phone, so I never miss a call. I highly recommend OOMA to anyone looking to save money but not give up any quality of service.

Pros Amazing price includes all the bells and whistles, unlimited calling Canada and US, excellent customer service, great clarity and reliability

Cons The only con and it is a con with any VoIP is if you lose power you lose the phone, but at least with OOMA, they redirect the calls to your cell so you will never miss a call.

I was looking for ways to trim my cable bill, and wondered if I could get a better deal on phone service. Call me crazy, but I still prefer to have a landline for voice quality and reliability (and for the occasional faxes). Cell reception in my house isn't the greatest, so I prefer the landline when talking to friends/family. The phone portion of my cable bill was $40/month (yikes!). I was familiar with Vonage, but that was still $10/month. After some researching, I came across Ooma. It got good overall reviews, and was one of the top rated services in a leading consumer research magazine. I got my Ooma unit at Best Buy. It was super easy to setup (plug one end into my router and the other into my phone line). Sign up was a breeze, and I was able to get service almost instantaneously. I wanted to port my old phone number, and saw they charged a porting fee. If you signed up for one year of their "plus" service, they waved that fee. I chose this option, since I found a discount code (I can always cancel next year, since I probably won't use the extra features). The porting process took around a week, but I got status notifications along the way. I've been using it for several weeks now and really like the Ooma app on my iPhone. It notifies me whenever I get calls at home, and I can listen to VM from anywhere. There are tons of other features available, but I haven't used them. I've also used Ooma to call family in London "on the cheap". BTW, the only thing you have pay for each month are taxes/utility fees (~$5 for me). I know phone lines aren't that exciting, but this unit shines in helping me trim my utility bill!

Pros The device itself is very reliable. I was even able to have our old phone number ported over for a one time fee. Now we have two landline numbers and yes, we do have local 911 service.

On top of excellent quality overall, the icing on the cake is the phone app: it allows me to have my phone number at the cabin or anywhere there is wifi.

Pros low price (could be lower :-))' excellent quality voice mail phone app

Cons the phone app works just on one phone at a time (the last one that used it), that's the only drawback: when my wife and I are not at the same location, it's often my wife's app that gets the call. If we could both get the call, the chances we get that call are double.
