The Nextiva Nightmare!

What a nightmare!! I was so hopeful this system would provide the service I
was sold. Set up has been terrible, glitches everywhere. Getting them fixed
is like pulling teeth. We have a car/boat dealership and have lost calls
because of all the problems. I had no idea this would consume dozens and
dozens of hours of my time to get working and it is still not working. I was
told they would port my number , they can’t. I was told we had cell phone
apps included for all users that made the cell phone work just like the IP
phones. Not true! (unless we pay for a “special” app at $7/month for each
user). I am still paying for my original phone lines and Nextiva system just
to keep my business functioning. Too many issues to list. I am still hopeful
things will work out but this is truly a nightmare, nightmare, nightmare!! Do
not switch over your phone system or authorize phone number porting or pay
any monthly fees until AFTER your Nextiva Phones are all set up and all
functions tested. They want you to Port over you numbers right away so you
are locked in to them, then the nightmare begins. Good luck! Ha ha!!

Theoretically this is supposed to be the latest and greatest. Hmmmm....

My experience with Nextiva hasn't been very smooth. First off, they DO NOT
install your phones for you...they send the phones to you and expect you to
install them on your own. For 5-10 phones, that wouldn't be so bad, but we
had to do it for nearly 30 and it was a nightmare. When one phone didn't
work, getting it replaced seemed to take forever. Furthermore, the sales team
promised me that they could get me through implementation by a certain date,
but the implementation team told me I'd have to wait for several days past
that, which wasn't okay because we needed phone service. We ended up working
with tech support to get the system set up, who is great to fix little issues
here and there but doesn't have the experience to set up a new account, so it
was beyond botched. Phone calls were going to the wrong phones and were
getting lost after being transferred, and it was all a huge mess. We were
finally able to get taken care of nearly two weeks later after I complained
enough. When I was assigned an account manager, she spent more time reminding
me that I signed a contract rather than ask what she could do to help. Also,
every time I've had a complaint with them over anything, again they remind me
that I signed a contract and I agreed to their terms, etc. Overall, I don't
know where Nextiva gets their raving Customer Reviews because I'm super easy
to please but they've been such a pain to work with...I regret going with
them in the first place...

Firstly, everyone at Nextiva that I've spoken to has a fantastic attitude towards their jobs and more importantly - towards their customers. Customer support is quick, thorough and they follow up without a minute’s hesitation. Thanks to Nextiva our office phone system is up and working perfectly.

I consider Nextiva to be a solid service provider for our office phones.

don't use them. down time and phone system problems that never stop. I have had problems form the first day. I have had the service now about a year. I am leaving and going to another provider. Some times our fax can take 3 to 6 hours to work. They say it is backed up. ????? what? So that does not work. They were working on my phone 2 months ago and it lost the phone directory. Well to this day they have not been able to fix it. They say it a software problem on their side and will be fixed. It has been 2 months. They are always nice on the phone and try but they just can not fix the problems. I have spent at least 100 hours on the phone with them over the last year taking care of problems. I am done trying to make it work. I will start the process of leaving this week. I hate to leave as it takes a lot of time to set up again with a new company but I hope this will be the last time. I am looking at jive and intermedia. Today I have no contact list and fax is not working. ugg so sick of it

The transition from regular telephone system to VoIP was a big step for our real estate company. We wanted a service that saves us money without compromising on quality. Also, most of us are not technology geeks and waned something easy to set up and use. We feel that signing up with Nextiva was a wise decision because they have not only saved us money, but provided us tons of useful features that are not available with regular phone systems. We are very happy with their service. Highly recommended!

As a small media company, we were looking for a business communication service that fits our tight budget. Right now, Nextiva is an important part of our everyday operations be it receiving faxes, booking hotels, or scheduling interviews. What makes things even more useful for us is that all these services are available regardless of our presence in the office. All these services are easy to use, and backed up by a proactive support team. Thanks a lot, Nextiva!

I don't usually write negative reviews, however I felt impelled to let other potential users know what had occurred. I was using Vocalocity hosted service for the past couple years and looking to reduced my monthly cost. Nextiva sold me on their prices and 30 days money back guarantee. I signed up for their service on August 29, 2013. Throughout the setup process, the sales rep Andy Hu had to keep adding additional services increasing the monthly cost. (The services he kept adding were basic service that is included with Vocalocity.) By September 27, 2013 they still have not completed provisioning my account, therefore the switch wasn't completed. After almost a month and countless hours, I called into Nextiva to cancel my because the 30 days guarantee was coming up and I never got a chance to use the phone because their "on board training team" wasn't finished setting up the account. Keep in mind, I only had 20 users and it took nearly a month for the setup. During my call to cancel, their manager got on the phone and explained that he would extend the guarantee cancellation with money back for another month because he knew that the service has been used yet. Based on the supervisor's promise, I agreed to continue letting the "on board trainer" finish the account setup. Ian Buchanan, the on board tech,completed the set up approximately a week late. It was the worst decision I've ever made. All my incoming calls were sent to no where. I've lost so much money because of this. I emailed Ian and was finally corrected. A couple days later, the entire phone system went down and again lost profit because of this. Their technical support determined that their system did an upgrade but didnt copy the information over to the new system therefore my system was down. The final straw to cancel again was my toll free numbers were not working. They refused to issued the refund because they said I "used too many minutes"

Price if you needed basic hosted service.

From my point of view Nextiva is one of the best phone systems. It was recommended to me by my neighbor and I've been a customer of theirs for nearly 3 years. I don't prefer to rate anything perfect and think Nextiva is around 4.75 stars but this site only allows me to give them a 4 or a 5. I can't see myself using any other company. Whenever I want to make a change, Nextiva can handle it. Nextiva is able to do anything I've needed from my office phones. Plus I know a vendor is good when my employees don't complain about it.

Everyone I've worked with has been polite and pleasant to work with. The bottom line is that I saved money on my company's monthly phone bill by switching. The downside is, I pay the full rate for all of my employees. Even though some of them don't use the phones I still pay for a full line because they do need it. Having some of my employees on an unlimited plan and others on a per minute plan would have been perfect. Nextiva doesn't do this and I couldn't find a company that does. This is why I give them a four star rating for the features. The customer service and sound quality are both excellent, much better than AT&T from before.

I recommend. Good customer service, easy to implement, costs less than my previous phone bill.
Some features go unused. While I save money every month, there are countless included features I'm not using and I pay for employee phones that use their lines only a few times per week.
