Nextiva Reviews

Nextiva has changed business phone service for good; Nextiva's phone service combines high-quality service with incredible technical support — and you can keep your arms and your legs. One of the best in the business today, Nextiva delivers powerful communications capability with simplicity and ease of use.

Nextiva has two basic phone plans: Connect and Nextiva Office. Both have multiple scalable options: as you increase your calling capabilites (for instance, expanding from 1,000 minutes a month to unlimited minutes) your monthly flat rate increases. But that’s it: there aren’t setup fees or contracts (that is, unless you want one; like most other VoIP providers, Nextiva offers a discount to encourage you to sign a contract).

No matter what plan you choose, Nextiva will load your plan with useful features. Even Connect 100 (100 minutes for $8.95 a month) offers 10 virtual extensions, along with cell phone integration, follow me features, advanced voicemail features and more. Plus, Nextiva offers a wide variety of helpful customer support options — including US-based support.

Nextiva also offers efax and SIP trunking service.

We went from a pbx system to nextiva. Almost everything was working well with the pbx but we started looking for something new when I noticed we can switch from having everything in our office. We considered some information we read on the web and nextiva has been great. Having our system transferred from the pbx to nextiva without much work was a plus. The level of service we have received has been very very good. I have to thank them for making the switch fairly seamless. Our numbers went over to them and there werent too many kinks. The choice to change our phones was a good one.
Our pbx was our first phone system and it was fine. But with nextiva having an online interface is great and my customers did not notice any change which is best. I highly recommend nextiva.

After a bad experience with MagicJack, I was swayed by all the good reviews for InTalk/Nextiva and decided to give them a try.  At first, I was blown away with how responsive they were in setting up my account, starting the process of porting my existing Verizon number and getting me the equipment.
In fact, I even complimented them on their service, telling them if my initial experience was any indication of their service, I would be very pleased.  Big mistake.  After that moment everything went downhill - fast.  For the last 2 weeks I've been trying to get their tech support to correct a problem where my phone doesn't ring on incoming calls.  I can call out just fine, but everything inbound goes straight to voice mail.  I've spent hours over 4 different occassions with their tech support (which I must admit were fairly easy to reach).  1 tech managed to get the system to work, but it didn't last and subsequent contacts were fruiless.
Now I'm in the uncomfortable position of having my Verizon number ported to a company that can't get me reliable service.  Peachy.
Be forewarned, if they say they will call back, they don't.  4 times I was told they'd call back - 4 times I had to call them.  As I write this I am, again, waiting for them to call me back.  While waiting, I've already gone through the sign-up process with ITP (my LAST try with VOIP) AND finished this review. p>

I have to share our experience with Nextiva. We had a old PBX from talkswitch for our 5 person company and service with Qwest for phone service. After going through a few companies we ended up with Nextiva's 360 plan. They helped us setup our remote employees with some phones and a few adapters, walked us through the online interface and helped us meet our needs. The end result was that we were able to save over $400 a month on phone service. lol what more can you ask for?

This is a follow up to my posting the other day.  Unsolicited, I received a phone call from a Nextiva Q/A member.  They have addressed my 911 address issue. The caller ID problem is some sort of infrastructure problem and should be addressed over the next few days.  I also had a problem with the call blocking/filtering.  With some verbal instructions, this has been addressed also--I had to omit the dashes when setting up a phone number in my Nextiva phone-address book. With some minor edits to this web application or detailed instructions, this could potentially minimize frustration for future users.
I only have a SOHO account with Nextiva so I'm a small customer. But I can honestly say, I have NEVER had a company want my business so badly as to follow up with me to ensure my that my problems have been completely resolved. I can't say that about my former legacy POTS provider!!! Thanks for following up Nextiva!

What I've been impressed the most by is the quality of calls, not only when I use my office phone but also my soft phone when I travel. Getting the service setup and running was not as daunting as I had believed. It's good that all my calls are free in US. The only company that deserves five stars in my book, is my own. But coming from a service that cost more and practically came with nothing, Nextiva has been nearly perfect.

I signed up Dec 08 and had my number ported the next month.  When dialing 911, it currently does not pass my address information to the 911 call center. Caller ID only passes the number, not the name.  The profile/business rules set up for call blocking, etc. have not worked.  I have called customer service repeatedly.  While I can usually talk to a polite customer service rep,  I cannot get followup resolution to my problems. Phone service has been fairly reliable after working out several other configuration issues with my ATA device and web page profile, although while talking last night my phone call got dropped and had to redial.  What am I doing wrong that others are having such a positive experience with this company?

I was gona go with a few other companys but they were all trying a way to take advantage.....I couldnt be happier with Nextiva's service. I am paying less than what I was before and really like what I'm getting. Not having to track our outgoing calling is also good, I have 6 guys on the phone that call leads all day long. We focus on clients in California as this is where our business is located. We don't have to pay for long distance calls or anything like that. We are yet to have any surprises with our phone bill. Support is efficient. Stick with em!

I actually signed up for their SOHO (small or home office) VOIP service and it's 19.95/month vs. 29.95/month. It was very easy to setup, just connected directly to my phone and router and boom. Done!  I have tried several VOIP companies in the past and read reviews here and needed to give my input. The customer service is great and english native speaking.  The quality is perfect and I have been using for 1 week now and am ready to dump my copper wired/AT&T service! no need to spend more than necessary. This has minimal bells & whistles but has all the essentials like call forwarding, voicemail, caller ID, etc. I doesn't have music on hold, and a few of those sorts of things, but it's as good as copper so I'm sold 100% on it.

Easy of use, English-native-speaking customer service, 100% quality of regular phone

It is in my opinion that Nextiva is the best thing since slice bread.
I am the President of a Recruiting firm with recruiters all over the US, they all work from home.
Nextiva allows us all to have one 800 contact number with different extension , so we can maintain legitmacy  and organization.
The customer service is second to none , the yhave always been helpful even when i have not been very kind.
I really recomment that  everyone with a business get Nextiva, it is really the BEST thing since slice bread  in phone systems.
it is also so affordable.

Nextiva
I just switched over to Nextiva from Vocalocity (I woulod say that Nextiva is much better than Vocalocity but this is an industry that really needs a good culling....I am be no means a tech person - for the most part I gather more useless information then ever before and bought into the concept that I need all of this info. I really like nextiva so far just have issues with their service dept, I have a small business (3 employees) and just wanted to replace my "telephone company" competition is alwasy good for the consumer...each time I call the customer service dept to have my phones set up that all phones ring and if no one answers it goes to voicemail. Unfortunatly, there is really only one person that I've spoken to that gets it...and does not try and change the way we do things here. Each of the other service people tend to not listen to my issue and just automatically tries to "fix" things that really causes more problems for good. Nextiva has no concept of the value of my time - we have easily lost any sort of savings that we intended to have by switching to Nextiva just through my time waiting on the phone for service or trying to fix this stuff.
I hope that this company understands that service counts not so much price....get it together and they will have a supperior product and name.
Just like this review board....there is enough crap to send someone to the moon as far as bold, paste from word even insert a freek'n smiley face...but put something useful on this like "spell check". what's wrong with these people!!!!
If most of us new how to use all of this crap we wouldn't need the phone company in the first place....just stupid!
I also just noticed that the ratings that I complete and the ones that are shown to the public are different.
