Nextiva Reviews

Nextiva has changed business phone service for good; Nextiva's phone service combines high-quality service with incredible technical support — and you can keep your arms and your legs. One of the best in the business today, Nextiva delivers powerful communications capability with simplicity and ease of use.

Nextiva has two basic phone plans: Connect and Nextiva Office. Both have multiple scalable options: as you increase your calling capabilites (for instance, expanding from 1,000 minutes a month to unlimited minutes) your monthly flat rate increases. But that’s it: there aren’t setup fees or contracts (that is, unless you want one; like most other VoIP providers, Nextiva offers a discount to encourage you to sign a contract).

No matter what plan you choose, Nextiva will load your plan with useful features. Even Connect 100 (100 minutes for $8.95 a month) offers 10 virtual extensions, along with cell phone integration, follow me features, advanced voicemail features and more. Plus, Nextiva offers a wide variety of helpful customer support options — including US-based support.

Nextiva also offers efax and SIP trunking service.

The calls with them have been clear and service has been valuable to our business. We have had a great experience all around. From the moment we called in learning about Nextiva to now. All calls sound well and the people have been attentive and friendly. I primarily care about the clearness of the calls and that has been perfect.

Coming from cox there were some things that stood out about nextiva when I was deciding on our next phone provider. Most important was ease of use and price. This belief applies to all technologies we use. I was paying much more with Cox and got over using their service when I had to wait 3 days for them to fix an issue with my internet and phones. Three business days without service was a nightmare and I learned a lesson to never use them again, period. I got my Internet setup by Qwest and the phones with nextiva now. Before we were paying $770 per month for phones and Internet. We are now at $160 for Internet and $110 for the phones each month. It's a good discount and it doesn't feel like we cut any corners, if anything I'd say we've improved our technology over here. The fact that cox screwed us for three days is done with and now things are working well for us. Comparing nextiva with our cox phones we now have some decent features and the quality has been great. The move of providers was done without having an IT person working for us, Qwest's support and Nextiva helped us with everything.
I recommend them.

Our phones for our business work well. We primarily switched phone companies because of the monthly price we were paying. Paying less has been advantageous and the switch itself was smooth. Being our first switch of phone companies the idea of getting a new provider was something new to us. Other than porting of our numbers which took two weeks to complete, it has been an easy ride. Instead of having our calls go to an auto attendant right away, like most people seem to have. We've got the system setup so that it rings our receptionist first and if she doesn't answer the call then it jumps to the auto attendant message. Whenever a call comes in to our main line after our operating hours, we got it setup so that the it plays a different message instead of the same recording all the time. Simply having the ability to manage the service from online is a great value. Yet even though I can't see us using most of these features, I've been blown away by the clarity of each call. I've used skype when I was traveling a few years ago and the quality was not too bad but having calls for my office running off the internet is nice and worth it.

I mentioned the quality that has been good and I just like the features that comes with this as a whole
I got a hang of the service after speaking with the technical support and I would have liked to have our number transfer in less than 2 weeks but it couldn't happen. Glad to have one phone company now.

We were running a private branch exchange internally and can personally attest to it not being the funnest task most of the time. Using a hosted IP pbx started off as a test run at one of our locations and the introduction of it was excellent without glitches. We separated our asterisk and nextiva service from each other (they were at separate locations) and ran our everyday operations for about two months with both services. Without porting the numbers, the asterisk side did have more activity but we ran our marketing and promotions lines on nextiva once we felt the setup was correct. Having not used a hosted provider prior to this, it was easier than expected to get the hosted platform running. The control with asterisk is a plus but worrying about it was not and did not make much sense to us as the overall price of running our own box vs having it hosted was not nice. At the end of the day, it can differ dependent on the company utilizing the phone system and not every person needs the same thing. For us using nextiva for trunking and pbx has been good and we have now got our toll-free's and local DID's ported to them for all locations. I've played with the interface and customer support enough to give them a high rating and great praise.

Nextiva has been good from the getgo. From Comcast, where the service was generally sub-par, Nextiva has been a delight. When I signed up I inadvertently entered the wrong telephone number to transfer over, they helped me change that --even though that was my error. Tech support has been responsive when I have contacted them over the phone and by email. The online help center can use some beefing up but not a major complaint and with good live support, I haven't had the need to really look through their tutorials much.
I remember when I first setup my service with Comcast I was on the phone with them for probably three days straight in order to get the service working. Fortunately this has not been the case with Nextiva. I couldn't be more pleased just because of the fact that the setup was not rocket science. After leaving Comcast a bigger plus was paying my phone service on a fairly cheap plan each month by month.

When Verizon abruptly cancelled its VoiceWing service, I was stumped.  I figured I'd try to use Skype as an alternative ... not a good idea.  I started researching other VoIP services, came across Nextiva's inTALK.  It's the perfect solution.  Cost is highly competitive, easy to set up, everything about it has been terrific.  My biggest shock is when I received a call to thank me for becoming a customer.  The call came from a live person, who provided me with his name, and his phone number.  When the 'box' arrived and I called with a simple question, on a weekend (typically off-hours for most providers), again a live person, gave me his number, and also gave me his phone number in the event that I needed any additional help.I would not think of considering any other residential VoIP solution.  Nextiva's inTALK is absolutely the best.

The company is simply amazing! They offer a wonderful service and I like what I've got with them. Getting the music on hold and calls sent to my cell phone when I am out of the office is what I really like. My office has had internet service since the beginning and I was using skype from my computer with AT&T for phone service but never thought about going to voip for everything until a few weeks ago. I have not used Nextiva extensively but the product has been good.

I got setup with Nextiva service and used my own phones I bought off eBay - Polycom 301's. They were inexpensive and work fine with the service. What impressed me the most about Nextiva was the patience the people in support had when it came to configuring both of my phones. From the time I signed up for the service, the people were friendly and helpful but they took it to another level when they worked with me for about an hour to get it setup. This is my new business and first time I'm using voip phones. I saved some money by buying phones off eBay and I didn't know how it was going to pan out but thanks to the support guys, especially John, both Polycoms work. Since getting setup the service has worked fine and I've liked it.

Maybe it's just me, but Am I the Only person having critical problems with this service? Ill admit, the tech guys are very nice and helpful. But I'm on the phone EVERY DAY on hold several times a day.
This service Does Not Work. on a thank God I didn't port my number over yet, I just forward it. This system fails every day. when a customer calls in it goes fast busy. when they do get through, the auto attendant doesn't hear the number selection, then phones loose the ip somehow and don't work anymore.
Looking for another dependable carrier, any Ideas?

Over the 15 years we have been in business we have always had the same telephone company - Verizon (formerly GTE).  Until recently at a Chamber meeting I learned that I actually had a choice.  I thought it was a monopoly.  Well I can tell you, if you are with a local telephone company you are just throwing money out the window.  A friend at the Chamber referred me to Nextiva.  Our old bill for 5 lines was almost $400, now we pay less than half.   I was most concerned about keeping my number that I had forever now, and they were able to transfer it without any hickups.  Support was super helpful and friendly helping me get setup.  Sound quality is as good as or even better.  I can't ever remember having an experience with my phone telephone company good enough to write about.  If there was a rating higher then five stars I would give it to them!   The Smog Guy.
