Editorial Review
Axvoice delivers affordable VoIP phone solutions to residential customers in the US and Canada. With three relatively inexpensive home phone plans to choose from, customers that move to Axvoice can take advantage of slashed telephone bills while enjoying advanced calling features.
Affordable Residential Plans
Axvoice offers three of the most economical residential VoIP plans: Home Phone Service USA/Canada (starts at $8.25/month for a yearly plan), the US/Canada 200 (starts at 5.99/month for a yearly plan plus low per minute calling rates), and Pay As You Go plan (starts at $4.99/month plus low per minute calling rates). All three plans include over 30+ calling features, online account management, and VoIP equipment.
Free Equipment and Hassle-free Setup
All of Axvoice’s home phone plans include a free VoIP device. The device is designed for plug and play installation, which means it works right out of the box and gets your service up and running in minutes. Axvoice also offers BYOD (where applicable) to help you save on your bill.
Axvoice has no customer service and is much more expensive than they say
jami425
They charge you an exorbitant amount for shipping in the beginning and then want you to pay for return shipping when you cancel service.
Charge for porting a number over $15
Horrible customer service if you have issues. You get one sentence answers and have to email multiple times.
After paying for the first year they automatically change you to a monthly price of 16.74 which is extremely high for the features and quality
They only support one phone connection
When you cancel they charge $40 and hold on to that money until you return the device within 10 days. They shouldn't hold that money interest free during the shipping time. It should be charged to the card they already have after the shipping period if the device isn't returned. Now I not only have to wait for it to arrive but also wait for them to process the refund.
Horrible company! Get a magicjack or basic talk and save yourself the money and hassles.
Easy to setup unless you have to wait on them to port over a phone number

My main problem solved - Axvoice
Narindra Shethi
I have a house to run and can certainly not afford extraordinary expenses. With kids at home and my wife’s overwhelming social interactions, my home phone bill was way way above average. Hearing about the Axvoice unlimited package was a perfect catch for me and I had to get this package immediately. 4 months down the line and I am satisfied and impressed with this product as much as I can be.

I like their Block Blacklist numbers feature - Axvoice
Pete_Linkator
Anybody living in States would be pretty familiar with bugging over the phone by marketers. Day-in day-out you receive so many calls by people convincing you to buy one product or the other. You keep landline and they take your number out of directory or somewhere else I don’t know. But it’s horrible as hell. I found out about Axvoice Voip service and got it for my usage. This service is pretty easy to set-up. It is not an all expensive and my favorite part is that I get to block all the unwanted numbers that really piss me off. I like their sound quality and price packages a lot as they help easy a lot off my pocket.
The block blackList feature is a blessing

Bills under control - Axvoice

Expensive bills were a little bit too much for me to cope with along with taking care of my kids. I am a working mom and there is a lot on my head all the time. My kids fight a lot when they are home after school and I come home from office pretty late. I receive a number of calls from my kids complaining about their fights while I am at work. Work stress combined with kids fighting combined with high call charges was something I was unable to handle. Recommended by a friend, I came across Axvoice and its low pricing. The unlimited calls facility with a pretty modest price package was a sigh of relief for me. I can’t tell you how relax I felt after seeing my first month’s bill from Axvoice. Their service quality is pretty good too and the pricing is simply phenomenal.

A good experience overall - Axvoice

The unlimited calls facility is one big plus for me. My mother is old and she does not go out much. Her favorite past time is chatting with her family and friends over the phone. With so many calls all day long, our phone bill exceeded $100 every month. Getting Axvoice helped me save a big load of money every month. Added to that, the call quality was pretty exciting. We have been used to a landline call quality for some time and Axvoice was equally good. I have had a pretty good experience with Axvoice.
The price and call quality is too good

Deceptive Advertising - Axvoice
Guthrie
I would be a lot happier if AXvoice had answered my questions. I emailed and asked for an explanation of the charges being so much larger than the advertised amount. They replied mentioning a one time number porting fee, taxes and fees, and a shipping and handling fee too. I then asked "What will I pay next year if I choose to continue with AXvoice?" and received no reply. This situation causes a lack of trust of this company.
It seems to work, except for Fax, which is gone. And I'm somewhat upset and maybe a bit harsh.
I like truth in advertising. The advertising said $99 per year, and I was swayed by this low price. I've had the service for two months, the first month I was charged $149 and the second $18. I would like a company that I can trust as being basically principled and honest.

Axvoice service good for one year, horrible after that
haroldcw73
the quality of the call is mostly based on your own internet. this is not something AxVoice can fully control.
What AxVoice can control is their ability to provide a service that is up, fully functional, and has technical support to help when there is a problem.
To that end, AxVoice has nearly fully failed. The service currently does not allow me to call 6-8 numbers that I regularly call. I have tested making calls on other phones, with no issues. On the AxVoice service, I get a busy signal.
AxVoice Technical Support will not respond, and customer service will not currently refund based on the failure of the service.
the service was reasonable for the first year.
Following the first year though, both the telephone service itself and now any ability to contact customer service AND get anything fixed is horrible (meaning that the service doesn't work correctly any longer, and technical support will not respond or correct the failing conditions

Pure excellence - AxVoice

I’ve worked for a local internet company for over five years who also offered VoIP phone service, and I would never use their services or suggest them to family or friends. I know it sounds bad, but I know the phone service was not up to the standard. At least three out of five of my weekly installations/appointments are usually people who complain about the constant problems with their services. I know I shouldn’t bash the company that pays me, but it’s the truth. I briefly had their phone services and it sucked. The call quality was never consistent. I thought about going to Vonage, but then I saw how much cheaper Axvoice was, so I said screw it and took a chance. It was a great decision. This is how a good company supposed to treat their customers. Pure excellence!
Best service ever, treats customers very well

So this is my first time having a home phone in a looooonnnnnggg time. The last time I had a home phone was back when service was analog. I’ve become so accustomed to having just a cell phone; I felt there was no reason to have a regular phone in the house. My mother is staying with me and my husband now and she likes to talk to our family back in Netherlands, so I had to look into getting home service. I have to be honest and admit I tried a different company prior to signing up for Axvoice. Our cable package was offering a triple play bundle so we tried it. It was really horrible though and the long distance were phenomenal. I was quite surprised because I thought it was going to be better than what it really was. The calls were extremely poor. Most of the time, we couldn’t understand or hear the other person on the phone. Since we didn’t have the service long, we just ended up cancelling it. Axvoice has really restored our faith in home phone services. Their voice quality is excellent and their long distance rates are the cheapest.

Just connected my Axvoice service and it sounds awesome! I just left another company and the difference is like night and day. My calls are crystal clear compared to what I had to endure for the past two months. I couldn’t wait to switch companies. The most irritating thing was the call feedback. I would be on the phone with someone and all of a sudden I would start hearing my voice echo. It was so annoying. Paying close to $40 for crappy service was beyond stupid. I’m totally glad I heard about Axvoice. I feel sorry for people who are dealing with lousy phone services because they really don’t have to.
Axvoice has a number of offerings available to both residential and business customers. Their Residential plans give you free incoming and outgoing calls to U.S. and Canada for as low as $8.25 a month. They also offer Business plans for as low as $14.99 a month, and International plans for as low as $16.58 a month.
Axvoice VoIP service works in your home by connecting your current home phone to the router with an adapter. Axvoice will supply a VoIP phone adapter with service for the cost of shipping ($19.99). Alternately, Axvoice supports Bring Your Own Device, so you can supply your own adapter if you have already purchased one.
The Rub
Axvoice provides four of the most economical residential calling plans available in VoIP service: Home Phone Service USA/Canada, US/Canada 200, and Pay As You Go. The plans are set up to accommodate your specific household's calling needs and are priced accordingly. Over 30 calling features are included on every plan for every customer at no extra cost. These features include call management features like alternate caller ID, simultaneous ring, 3-way call, call waiting, and more. The only feature that changes throughout the three residential calling tiers is call forwarding (1.5 cents/minute with Pay As You Go, 200 included minutes with US/Canada 200 and 1.5 cents per minute thereafter, and free with Home Phone Service USA/Canada).
With their residential international plans, users get free unlimited inbound and outbound calls to the US and Canada plus calls to more than 45 countries(see full list of countries on Axvoice's site) with the Residential International plan, and 60 countries with the Residential International Plus plan. These international plans include domestic calling as well to keep your monthly bill straightforward and clear.
With an Axvoice plan, you can also keep your current phone number in addition to free hardware and activation.
Bottom Line
With an Axvoice residential plan, you get affordable rates and access to helpful outbound and inbound call features (emergency 911 is charged at $1.50 for the first month). The best deal for your money is to pay a year up front with Axvoice's Home Phone Service USA/Canada plan and lock yourself in to only $8.25 a month for quality service. If not, the other two residential plans offer promo prices you should take advantage of. Axvoice also helps you save by providing a free one-time activation fee, free BYOD activation, and no hardware cost. Pay only shipping and provisioning in addition to any applicable taxes.
Although you will end up paying extra for Virtual Numbers and Toll Free Numbers through Axvoice, the monthly price is still within budget.
Our Two Cents
For unlimited local and long distance residential calling, Axvoice has a number of flexible plans that are plug-and-play install, meaning you'll be up and running on your new residential VoIP phone plan in minutes. Their basic residential Home Phone Service USA/Canada plan offers three different payment options, letting you opt for an up-front payment, post-pay option, or month-to-month payment. This plan also includes free outgoing and inbound calls. However, if you are more comfortable with only paying for what you use, Axvoice gives you the option to choose a Pay As You Go plan, which has a low per-minute rate for outbound calls, but still have free inbound calling, all with no contract.
While Axvoice charges for shipping and a first month E911 fee, they also provide you with free equipment, a free activation fee, and free BYOD activation.
For home phone service, Axvoice offers this cost friendly plan for unlimited calls to the U.S. and Canada. You'll also get access to 30+ calling features, online account management, free equipment, and more!
