Editorial Review
Axvoice delivers affordable VoIP phone solutions to residential customers in the US and Canada. With three relatively inexpensive home phone plans to choose from, customers that move to Axvoice can take advantage of slashed telephone bills while enjoying advanced calling features.
Affordable Residential Plans
Axvoice offers three of the most economical residential VoIP plans: Home Phone Service USA/Canada (starts at $8.25/month for a yearly plan), the US/Canada 200 (starts at 5.99/month for a yearly plan plus low per minute calling rates), and Pay As You Go plan (starts at $4.99/month plus low per minute calling rates). All three plans include over 30+ calling features, online account management, and VoIP equipment.
Free Equipment and Hassle-free Setup
All of Axvoice’s home phone plans include a free VoIP device. The device is designed for plug and play installation, which means it works right out of the box and gets your service up and running in minutes. Axvoice also offers BYOD (where applicable) to help you save on your bill.
AxVoice is a highly affordable solution for small business owners. It provides the best set of features that has helped me a lot to manage my international customers. However, its unlimited call plan has a limited usage policy, which has affected my business financially.
Offers the best features without paying additional charges.
The unlimited plan has the usage policy of 3000 minutes.

Service seems good, but their equipment sucks, in my case
Centennial Dude
Gotta be honest here: I gave the 'reliability' only one star for a reason: While the VoIP service is damned good, and it'd be difficult to make it much cheaper..I have a problem. In my case, the analog phone adapter they sent with my setup was faulty right out of the box (broken micro-USB 5 volt power input receptacle to the 'base'), and they simply refused to replace it ...that is, UNLESS I paid yet another $19.99 for "shipping, handling, and provisioning" for another analog adapter unit to replace this 'broken' analog adapter. Of note: It was apparent this Grandstream HT801 had been sent to, and used by, another Axvoice user since... I FOUND AN RMA EMAIL FOR SOMEONE ELSE INSIDE THE BOX ... NOT a particularly good start to my first VoIP service... And in all honesty, I'm thinking I might even cancel my account if this is indicative of Axvoice's 'customer service', which I admit, I had seen "less than sterling" reports of as regards Axvoice ... and I signed up anyway, so ultimately I guess this is a little bit "my bad", too
Sound is good, 'performance' is good
Y'might want to consider a "bring your own" VoIP analog adapter for use on
Axvoice if my experience is any measure

Cool App!

So far, I have been satisfied with the service. The features are abundant, and call quality is great.
Compared to other services, AxVoice is affordable. Also, it lets you switch
to a lower-bandwidth codec if you don’t have a good internet connection.
It’s pretty cool.
I wish they would work a bit on their customer support that works on email
only. Definitely could use some improvement.

Could have been 5/5 stars - AxVoice
johnklewis920
I am very satisfied with this VoIP service and they really do deserve full stars – only if they work on their online control panel a bit. I feel it’s a little clustered and can be better managed. Overall, it’s a very appeasing experience making calls with Axvoice.
Nice voice quality, good packages, unlimited calls.
The online control panel is clustered

There are so many different ways for a call to reach you with Axvoice that it’s rare that you miss any. This is why I love Axvoice.
Lots of valuable calling features, especially incoming call features
Email support could be better

I have their basic residential plan which is pretty cheap but still it has unlimited Axvoice-Axvoice calls. Quite a freedom they offer for a minimal price.
Free in-network calls on all plans
You need a separate plan for unlimited international calls

10/10 if they get better support

For its price, Axvoice is certainly the best but the aftersales really bug me. I mean, c’mon! Your service is great but you have to get someone to reply to the emails faster or get live chat support because it’s mentioned on your website.
Cheap, good quality, great features.
There’s no chat support but claim to provide it.
Yes
This is what you call cheap!

Under $10 for unlimited calls; sounds too good to be real. But that’s what this VoIP is giving its customers. You guys own me now.
Voice quality is great even though it’s so affordable.
Too good to be real.
Yes
I hardly miss calls anymore!
KristaFleetcher
There are different call forwarding features that allow me to redirect
unanswered calls to other numbers. In fact, if the ISP is down, I still get
calls on my cell phone. Totally happy with how much this voip provider cares
for its clients.
Very valuable voip service
They don’t have their own softphone app

You’re good!

Affordable VoIP. Probably the only one in the US that’s this cheap. Comes
with decent features and very good voice quality.
Axvoice has a number of offerings available to both residential and business customers. Their Residential plans give you free incoming and outgoing calls to U.S. and Canada for as low as $8.25 a month. They also offer Business plans for as low as $14.99 a month, and International plans for as low as $16.58 a month.
Axvoice VoIP service works in your home by connecting your current home phone to the router with an adapter. Axvoice will supply a VoIP phone adapter with service for the cost of shipping ($19.99). Alternately, Axvoice supports Bring Your Own Device, so you can supply your own adapter if you have already purchased one.
The Rub
Axvoice provides four of the most economical residential calling plans available in VoIP service: Home Phone Service USA/Canada, US/Canada 200, and Pay As You Go. The plans are set up to accommodate your specific household's calling needs and are priced accordingly. Over 30 calling features are included on every plan for every customer at no extra cost. These features include call management features like alternate caller ID, simultaneous ring, 3-way call, call waiting, and more. The only feature that changes throughout the three residential calling tiers is call forwarding (1.5 cents/minute with Pay As You Go, 200 included minutes with US/Canada 200 and 1.5 cents per minute thereafter, and free with Home Phone Service USA/Canada).
With their residential international plans, users get free unlimited inbound and outbound calls to the US and Canada plus calls to more than 45 countries(see full list of countries on Axvoice's site) with the Residential International plan, and 60 countries with the Residential International Plus plan. These international plans include domestic calling as well to keep your monthly bill straightforward and clear.
With an Axvoice plan, you can also keep your current phone number in addition to free hardware and activation.
Bottom Line
With an Axvoice residential plan, you get affordable rates and access to helpful outbound and inbound call features (emergency 911 is charged at $1.50 for the first month). The best deal for your money is to pay a year up front with Axvoice's Home Phone Service USA/Canada plan and lock yourself in to only $8.25 a month for quality service. If not, the other two residential plans offer promo prices you should take advantage of. Axvoice also helps you save by providing a free one-time activation fee, free BYOD activation, and no hardware cost. Pay only shipping and provisioning in addition to any applicable taxes.
Although you will end up paying extra for Virtual Numbers and Toll Free Numbers through Axvoice, the monthly price is still within budget.
Our Two Cents
For unlimited local and long distance residential calling, Axvoice has a number of flexible plans that are plug-and-play install, meaning you'll be up and running on your new residential VoIP phone plan in minutes. Their basic residential Home Phone Service USA/Canada plan offers three different payment options, letting you opt for an up-front payment, post-pay option, or month-to-month payment. This plan also includes free outgoing and inbound calls. However, if you are more comfortable with only paying for what you use, Axvoice gives you the option to choose a Pay As You Go plan, which has a low per-minute rate for outbound calls, but still have free inbound calling, all with no contract.
While Axvoice charges for shipping and a first month E911 fee, they also provide you with free equipment, a free activation fee, and free BYOD activation.
For home phone service, Axvoice offers this cost friendly plan for unlimited calls to the U.S. and Canada. You'll also get access to 30+ calling features, online account management, free equipment, and more!
