Editorial Review
Axvoice delivers affordable VoIP phone solutions to residential customers in the US and Canada. With three relatively inexpensive home phone plans to choose from, customers that move to Axvoice can take advantage of slashed telephone bills while enjoying advanced calling features.
Affordable Residential Plans
Axvoice offers three of the most economical residential VoIP plans: Home Phone Service USA/Canada (starts at $8.25/month for a yearly plan), the US/Canada 200 (starts at 5.99/month for a yearly plan plus low per minute calling rates), and Pay As You Go plan (starts at $4.99/month plus low per minute calling rates). All three plans include over 30+ calling features, online account management, and VoIP equipment.
Free Equipment and Hassle-free Setup
All of Axvoice’s home phone plans include a free VoIP device. The device is designed for plug and play installation, which means it works right out of the box and gets your service up and running in minutes. Axvoice also offers BYOD (where applicable) to help you save on your bill.
Always hesitant when signing up to a new service but this VoIP provider was a light at the end of the tunnel. We signed up the next day and are currently paying half of what we used to with Vonage in the office. Mad!
Great onboarding process, free hardware by the company, instant connections
and lines, and unbeatable price.
The porting process is slow, but I understand that’s the case with most.

Really liking the service – had it for the past 6 months and it’s yet to be problematic. No issues whatsoever.
Great support from their customer service department. Setting up was a
breeze! And the pricing plans aren’t too shabby either
Don’t really have anything poor to say about the app. Works great.

Works as intended

Axvoice is great if you’re on a budget and even when you aren’t. Their service undercuts all major players by as much as $20 to $30 and that isn’t money to be ignored if you’ve got multiple lines running. I’m using it in the home office for now, and the savings alone are the biggest motivation for me to recommend this service.
Great pricing, undercuts the competition massively, have their own hardware
too. No complaints!
It’d be quite a stretch to come up with anything right now. Perhaps when
I’m a year into the use?

No issues with AXVoice
jamesluke13333
No issues with the AX Voice connection so far. I’m impressed with the form and function – I had to have two lines installed in my office. One for myself and the other for my brother who co-owns the company. We’ve yet to have any stumble or connection issue. The pricing is the best in class and they provided their own phone hardware too.
Free hardware, great pricing, no connectivity issues. Help desk is helpful
too when troubleshooting.
Porting could be quicker. Had to port an existing number and it took a day.

No Technical Support
I40880
I had a problem where every 4th or 5th outgoing call made, once answered would immediately go to a fast busy. I complained multiple times over my one year of service. I had one response and that was to power down everything and then bring it back up. I had already done this multiple times so that was no help. Afterwards I reported this at least a half dozen more times and never got a single response. Apparently they have no technical support. I left them and went back to my previous provider. Do not go for this service to lower your costs. You will certainly lower your level of service and satisfaction.
Cheap
Lousy service without any recourse or support. Also, when I canceled my
service they immediately charged me $39.99 for the modem. Here is the end of
their note: A refund will be issued once we receive the adapter. Please note
that no refund will be issued if you do not send us the tracking number or
anything is missing/damaged in the adapter package. Please contact us 48
hours after delivery of the adapter to get a refund. (End of note) What a rip
off. Steer clear.

Great bang for the buck
jamiempenn
It just works, very similar to the other options out there but they have cheaper plans. This is the biggest reason why I switched and have stuck thus far
Incredible value for money, intuitive app and quick setup process.
None so far, only been two months on their package.

I only use Axvoice as a business number and for that alone, it works great. Doesn’t get bogged down and their plans are cheap too. Just wish they had more to offer as it seems they’re not trying to oust any big names in the market. Limited functionality.
Great price, value for money, easy setup.
Obscure company profile can make it hard to nail them down as first choice.

Really satisfied with Axvoice. Got it 5 months ago for residential use and no complaints ever since. Great features and super-reliable. Customer service needs improvement. Live support would be perfect.
Value for money

Great for home office use
michellegriego13
It’s decent for the price, and doesn’t overpromise on any front. Which is good because while the experience isn’t lackluster, it isn’t mind-blowing either. If you have an existing VOIP, stick to it, but if you need to cut costs, AXvoice is a great option. The call quality is excellent and so are their features. Competitive in all the areas where it matters, but might not be ideal for large-scale deployment.
Inexpensive packages, free hardware.
Customer support can be hit or miss.

Great Price But No Live Customer Service
Zebrabees
I used this company for a year because of remote work demands during the pandemic. I just recently canceled because my whole work situation has changed. Their prices are very reasonable, and their service comes with a lot of nice features included in the price. The only thing I found weird was they that do not have live support. Everything is done through e-mail and in this day and age I find this a bit creepy. They usually respond within 36 hours or less on a weekday when you send them an e-mail, and they are very friendly when they respond, however, they have no real address, no real phone number, so here you are giving them your credit card number, and you don't really know who or what this company is. If you need fast VOIP service at an excellent price, and you don't mind not having a real person to talk to when you need tech or billing support, then I say go for it. However, if you are not very technical and you need someone to walk you through the set-up, or you need to resolve a billing issue on a live call then, I suggest you use a different VOIP service or use your Internet provider's VOIP if they offer one. I give them 4 stars. They lose 1 star because there is no live support. Maybe that's how they keep their prices so low, I have no idea. All in all, my experience with them was OK. Would I use them again? Most likely, and if necessary because it was a smooth run with this company. No live support is the only drawback.
Axvoice has a number of offerings available to both residential and business customers. Their Residential plans give you free incoming and outgoing calls to U.S. and Canada for as low as $8.25 a month. They also offer Business plans for as low as $14.99 a month, and International plans for as low as $16.58 a month.
Axvoice VoIP service works in your home by connecting your current home phone to the router with an adapter. Axvoice will supply a VoIP phone adapter with service for the cost of shipping ($19.99). Alternately, Axvoice supports Bring Your Own Device, so you can supply your own adapter if you have already purchased one.
The Rub
Axvoice provides four of the most economical residential calling plans available in VoIP service: Home Phone Service USA/Canada, US/Canada 200, and Pay As You Go. The plans are set up to accommodate your specific household's calling needs and are priced accordingly. Over 30 calling features are included on every plan for every customer at no extra cost. These features include call management features like alternate caller ID, simultaneous ring, 3-way call, call waiting, and more. The only feature that changes throughout the three residential calling tiers is call forwarding (1.5 cents/minute with Pay As You Go, 200 included minutes with US/Canada 200 and 1.5 cents per minute thereafter, and free with Home Phone Service USA/Canada).
With their residential international plans, users get free unlimited inbound and outbound calls to the US and Canada plus calls to more than 45 countries(see full list of countries on Axvoice's site) with the Residential International plan, and 60 countries with the Residential International Plus plan. These international plans include domestic calling as well to keep your monthly bill straightforward and clear.
With an Axvoice plan, you can also keep your current phone number in addition to free hardware and activation.
Bottom Line
With an Axvoice residential plan, you get affordable rates and access to helpful outbound and inbound call features (emergency 911 is charged at $1.50 for the first month). The best deal for your money is to pay a year up front with Axvoice's Home Phone Service USA/Canada plan and lock yourself in to only $8.25 a month for quality service. If not, the other two residential plans offer promo prices you should take advantage of. Axvoice also helps you save by providing a free one-time activation fee, free BYOD activation, and no hardware cost. Pay only shipping and provisioning in addition to any applicable taxes.
Although you will end up paying extra for Virtual Numbers and Toll Free Numbers through Axvoice, the monthly price is still within budget.
Our Two Cents
For unlimited local and long distance residential calling, Axvoice has a number of flexible plans that are plug-and-play install, meaning you'll be up and running on your new residential VoIP phone plan in minutes. Their basic residential Home Phone Service USA/Canada plan offers three different payment options, letting you opt for an up-front payment, post-pay option, or month-to-month payment. This plan also includes free outgoing and inbound calls. However, if you are more comfortable with only paying for what you use, Axvoice gives you the option to choose a Pay As You Go plan, which has a low per-minute rate for outbound calls, but still have free inbound calling, all with no contract.
While Axvoice charges for shipping and a first month E911 fee, they also provide you with free equipment, a free activation fee, and free BYOD activation.
For home phone service, Axvoice offers this cost friendly plan for unlimited calls to the U.S. and Canada. You'll also get access to 30+ calling features, online account management, free equipment, and more!
