IP Phone Manufacturer Grandstream Gets a Shoutout on Hotel Blog: Multimedia VoIP Phone Touted as High-End Convenience in Luxury Hotel
The travel-oriented blog HotelChatter gave Grandstream a nod this week when it highlighted the brand new Puerto Rican boutique hotel, the Olive. The small luxury hotel opened in May in the ritzy Condado section of San Juan, and features (trumpet fanfare here) VoIP phone service.
In the blog's description of the 15-room Mediterranean-style hotel's upscale amenities, Grandstream VoIP phones played a prominent role as functional modern opulence: Each themed room features Grandstream GXV3175 multimedia IP phones ("video-phone tablets" in travel parlance).
The Grandstream phone, which retails on Amazon for $244 (July 11, 2012), has a 7-inch screen, clock, calendar, calculator, games, Google Voice, and a browser. It's also pre-loaded with apps for Internet radio, YouTube, Flickr, Twitter and Facebook, and integrates with the hotel's free WiFi.
