I spent the last 12 months as a VOIP customer of 8x8.  I was locked into a contract and without huge disconnect fees we were trapped.  The phones arrived and few weeks after having baby spiders hatched from inside the phones.  We were on the phone with there technical support weekly for 12 months.  Each time we were given a different story.  As a company who makes outbound calls to generate income we lost a lot customers and money due to the service outages we experienced with them.  I had to pay my employees while they sat and waited for the service issues to be resolved.  I had 9 lines with them and the monthly bill was crazy after the promo ended.  I was trying to downsize and save money after having a integrated T1. I switch to 8x8.  I was about to go back to copper lines from the local phone company due to my distaste with VOIP.  I was on vacation in Las Vegas and couldn't get in contact with my office.  I saw in my email that there was 45 missed calls that never rang to the office and went to voicemail.
