Messaging (SMS)
Short Message Services (SMS) is a common, yet often underutilized channel that helps businesses reach out to customers in an unobtrusive way. Through Flowroute, businesses can get affordable messaging including toll-free and long code messaging. Flowroute also offers users APIs to integrate SMS capabilities into applications to offer an alternative communications channel.
We have used Flowroute for several years. All along we have been highly
impressed with their call quality, customer support, and price. They have
scaled with us as our business has grown. We recently discovered their APIs
which has been a godsend for us – because we can now manage our phone
numbers in an automated fashion. Another important factor for us was to have
SMS. Flowroute’s Messaging API solved that gap for us – although you do
need to have some developer skills to implement.
Easy to use online portal, APIs, super helpful customer support, and the
reliability far better than other providers I have worked with

5 out of 5 for sure. I know there are more features of this service that I could be taking advantage of, but I need to invest the time to learn about them. The service has always been reliable, hasn’t been down since we signed up, and the new account management platform is way easier to use.
A very easy solution for our need to have a phone system that calls our various nurses until someone answers. The finder feature works great for us so that we don’t miss patients emergency calls. Every support person I talk to on the phone is amazing.
We were affected by the overall price increase after about 6 months. Understandably necessary, but would have preferred to be locked into our old rate.

Hosted Numbers - Review

The Good: Very easy to use, very professional, very affordable
The Bad: My first phone number was blocked by the prison
Review: Hosted Numbers has been very helpful in getting a local number to talk to my daughter who is in prison. When the first number that I got was blocked, they were very nice when they explained how that worked and how I could get a different one that might not be. Just be aware that they’re not affiliated with the prison system so they can’t tell you if numbers are going to be blocked. They’re very upfront and nice about it, and don’t judge you or treat you badly because of your situation. Very very nice customer service staff.

Great service, great price. - Hosted Numbers
LinStorm
Hosted Numbers is reliable and professional. I appreciated that they were able to explain every part of my bill very clearly. The 24/7 phone support is great. For personal call forwarding, very good company to go with.
Very easy to set up and get started. No extra equipment required. Excellent customer service. Service is exactly what I expected.
The number I wanted was out of stock, but they were able to order it for me.

OneSuite provides customer more than 18 yrs of satisfactory VoIP service
VoIP before VoIP was a thing
I have been with OneSuite for over 18 yrs I have brought my modem with me for multiple overseas visits. I was able to make and receive calls with clarity and reliability. I used their smartphone app since 2015 when I got my first smartphone, until recent the implementation of 5G service when I had to get a new phone. For years I would buy a data SIM card when overseas and use the voip app through the data stream (this was before Wifi calling folks). it has worked beautifully. Thanks to Android software changes the app has not worked with any of my android 10 or 11 phones. (still works with my 2015 android). Incoming calls have always been free, out bound calls depends on the country your calling but has always been very low priced. This is still a small company, I think I have always spoken with the same customer service agent over the years. He has been great to work with, but they are overwhelmed much of the time because of the small staff. They are in process to upgrade their app but they did offer an alternative app to use in the meantime. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to have a voip line this is the one for you. Be sure to at least receive a few calls (I use an old fashioned message machine) within the use limit or they will shut off the account. I was able to get mine re-instated the couple of times I neglected the line.
Great pricing, good basic features, pretty cool that you can use another
phone to call through the VoIP line for international call savings.
Could use a revamp of the services offered. Maybe add an ability to
conference call, send and receive text and MMS, and get that voip app
updated.

OneSuite kept my money after I did not use it for over 6 months
pepeter
We used OneSuite for years with no problems. Then we did not use it for a while because the person we used to call in another country died. We now have a new contact there, however OneSuite will not work and we cannot log in, getting the message that the account has expired. The documentation does not disclose that they will keep your money if you don't use the service for 6 months.
Was good when it was working.
They keep your money and cancel your account.

Cheap and has good service
susanjones95
I've been using onesuite since 2010 and i rarely have problems with their service, i'm using their voip and fax service. I used to subscribe to their call-forwarding service but cancelled the number since I no longer travel overseas. Their customer service representatives are all very accommodating and helpful, although waiting time can take up tp 15 minutes. my only complaint is sometimes my account would be logged out of the voip app for no reason and without notification, causing me to missed some calls. but overall the reception and quality of the calls is good and they don't have a monthly fee so there's that. unlike other services where i'm required to pay 12-15 dollars a month for a service that i'll seldom use.
cheap, no monthly fee, good reception and kind customer service reps
outdated fax software (not compatible with windows 8 and higher), although
they do offer web fax service meaning i can send fax through their website
but still, it would be nice to have the software on my pc

netTALK is a residential VoIP service company founded in 2008 and based in Miami, Florida. The provider offers big savings on local and long distance calling with their residential VoIP service plans. Their products are easy-to-use products, so much so that they believe you can "Fire Your Phone Company." And they offer the unique feature of being able to make VoIP calls without a computer via their DUO phone adapter.
Issue... No outbound toll free dialing ability to any 800, 833, 844, 855, 866, 877 or 888 numbers. I can not even call my ISP's toll free number, thanks to NetTalk. No calls from NetTalk about a service update, no email contact from NetTalk, no updates on my compensation request, nothing for weeks now. Incredible incompetence, a complete lack of technical service and/or follow-up. Service started out good years ago and has gotten steadily worse.

Great Service & Device (2nd gen DUO)
cat1092
I've had the NetTalkDuo device (2nd gen) since 2010 or so, bought for $49.88 at Walmart. Included was 1 year of service. It's more of the Plain Jane type, no BT or WiFi, yet it's worked flawlessly for the past 12 years! Best of all, a full year of service of netTALK is about the same or less than a month of AT&T service (at that time). Actually was about $10 less after AT&T's extensive list of taxes & "regularity fees", which could easily be $15-20/month in itself! I hope the device lives another dozen years, keep it dusted and in a cool place to draw heat away. About some who are complaining about call quality, there's a recommended list of compatible routers for the non-wifi devices, this is likely the cause of some issues. I was using a low cost TrendNet router which was on the list & it worked perfectly. Later, went to using Linksys routers, all have been fine with my DUO device. Plus use a CAT 7 patch cable long before many heard of CAT 6, to shield against noise. For sure, when this one goes out, will get a newer model, hopefully price will be the same. I deeply regret that I didn't buy two of these, as were on promo at the time, regularly priced around $65-75 in 2010.
Everything, from initial price, to setup & service established in 15-20
minutes after opening. I was given an extra week of service when there was a
2-3 hour downtime, of which I reported. Who could ask for so much for so
less?
MUST have correct address (that of the local utilities shows) when setting up
E911 service. Check a utility bill for this, believe NetTalk figured this out
for me.
2nd is minor, but some extras must be paid for. Being that many uses cell or
smartphones now, likely now a big deal. Example, doesn't show Caller ID
unless in phone directory, or purchase from NetTalk. This was no issue for
me, as my contacts were already in phone.

Pacific OC Properties Group
After wasting so much time with your "team" and you guys probably knew it was the ezlinq all along. I will be switching phone companies after I review the ones out there. I have been with you guys for maybe ten years and have purchased multiple duos and the ezlinq for both my office and home. Saving a little bit of money each month doesn't make up for clients thinking your phone service has been disconnected after having the same number for 20 something years, and then you not being able to get it back up and running at all nor being able to get the calls forwarded. You guys have been in service for a fairly long time but are still bush league!
Ends up being none.
Their "team" either doesn't know or is unable to fix when anything goes
wrong. They just want you to buy another device and HOPE that one works.

Horrible customer service
Michael Mathers
I have had nettalk for a few years and have had nothing but trouble with them. I had the duo and it went haywire, got an EZlinq and it came apart when I attempted to plug it into a new outlet after only having it for 2 months. They wouldn't replace it because the warranty was only 30 days. What kind of warranty is that? So, I taped it back together with strapping tape. Now the phone will not receive incoming calls. Horrible customer service. I am searching for a new phone company and saying goodbye to nettalk.

Terrible customer service

I have had Nettalk Duo for over five years. This year I renewed again on March 14 for one more year from March 23 to March 22, 2021 paying for the whole year. My equipment just went bad and I did not wanted to use Nettalk any more as there is several other means these days. As a matter of fact I would use for may be one call a month or so in the last year or two. I had kept it just as backup to landline. As the equipment went bad, I wanted to terminate the service and get prorated amount back from the one year service prepaid. They came back and said that they cannot process the order if it is more than 120 days. Today July 20 is within 120 days from the renewal date of March 23 but not from the date of payment which is March 14. Paying early I got penalized. They said they cannot do anything. Terrible customer support. Paying early and being a good customer, you get punished. Be aware..

I've hat a netTalk Duo tat worked fine for a few years. Over the last year it started going off line with the flashing red light. I had to reset it bu y unplugging it and then plugging it back in. This was happening more frequently, so when I happened to get an email solicitation from netTalk to upgrade to their new upgraded device the ezLINQ, I decided to give it a try. A week after I ordered it I had not been provided any tracking information. So went on line to call them up. (Found out that there was not a direct phone number.). The only two options were text messaging and email. I wad told it took two weeks for delivery. A few minutes after texting I received an email from USPS that a tracking number was provided but package had not been provided to the carrier. Two weeks later the USPS still had not been provided with the package. I texted netTalk again, After about 45 minutes the Customer Service could not tell me anything more than what I already knew. (there was a tracking number provided to USPS and they were awaiting for the package to arrive at the facility.). The customer Service said they would check on status and email me. After 24 hours had passed I had not received an email. I texted netTalk back and told them to cancel my order and to issue a refund to my PayPal account. Late that evening I received an email from USPS that the item had arrived at their facility. I texted netTalk that I had cancelled the order and that I did not want the package. I told them to intercept the item and to refund my PayPal account. They made no attempt to intercept the item. After more texting and they finally sent me a return Fedex mailing label and told me that once they received the package back that they would issue the refund. The package was delivered back to netTalk on October 2, 2019. I informed netTalk' Customer Service that the package had been delivered and to issue the refund. As of today there has been no refund issued and netTalk Customer Service will no longer respond to my text messages or my emails. I have initiated a dispute with my credit card company. BOTTOM LINE.....STAY AWAY FROM NETTALK.

Five year experience
drinkwaterx4
My experience with NetTalk has been nothing but positive. We dropped our land line five years ago for the Duo. Aside from occasional power outages due to storms it has worked flawlessly. No problems with call quality. Price has gone up over the years but $50 for the year - so cheap compared to what we used to pay the phone company.

I just finished my 2nd year using nettalk. MAIN issue is that they don't publish the power requirements for this device! This would have prevented this event from EVER HAPPENING. Because my internet couldn't cope with using a computer AND NetTalk at the same time, NetTalk Support never ever figured this out! By this simple effort we could have both been saved from making endless service calls to my internet provider. [30-50 minutes each] This past year-I emailed [nettalk has no phone number available] SIXTEEN TIMES & STILL NETTALK NEVER WORKED ONE DAY! I should have contacted them many more times [to get it to work] but thats hard to keep on doing when I RECEIVED ZERO RESULTS. I complained about not getting even ONE DAY of NetTalk service & suggested I should at least get a discount if not extended service time OR a REFUND-NO RESPONSE WHAT SO EVER. Being reasonable or polite didn't get me any where with them either. I had a Magic Jack before this-but got the nettalk -to not have to have the computer on-I should have stayed with Magic Jack-MUCH MORE RELIABLE!
Cheap Phone service-(IT used to be a lot cheaper). I
No access to management-only low level workers-who seemingly have no
permission to make any adjustments nor offer any compromise. (NETTALK CAN

I tried this after the recommendation of a friend who told me it could be a bit bumpy setting up but good afterwards. So I tried it and went for some surprises: 1. the device stayed 3 weeks at the logistics provider waiting for customs clearance 2. after receiving the device, the setup was fairly easy, but 3. once everything was done, I could make calls from the device as well as from the App, but 4. I could not receive calls, no one could, neither from a cell, a landline or the app. 5. It tooks emails every day for 7 days telling them that the problem was coming from the number itself (I got a recording telling me the number was not assigned) 6. every day for 7 days, they kept telling me to unplug and plug the device, even though it was obvious the device WAS working, as was the app. 7. I told them to call that number to hear the recording, they did but stopped after 6 rings, not even waiting for the voicemail to kick in. 8. I had to once again ask them to call the number and leave me a message, so that they could see they couldn't do it. 9. Finally at that point they talked to their administration team and guess what? the problem was from the number itself. 10. they said they could fix it but it would take time. They proposed to choose another number instead. 11. At that time I decided to give up and asked for a full refund. 12. They asked me to ship the device and send them a picture of the shipping receipt for a refund. 13. After shipping, they told me the shipping refund was only possible for US customers 14. Perfect timing... a coincidence, you think? Suddenly they become smart. Conclusion, unless you are in the US, stay away from these guys, it will get worse until they disappear. I am switching to Ooma, several other friends have been using Ooma from 4 years now, no trouble, so I will trust them, I'm waiting for the device.
cheap device
lousy customer service,
lousy technical support,
no refund on return shipping
service price is more expensive than Ooma

Don't waste your time and money on netTALK in Canada
nillo
Don't throw out your landline if you get this - the service is unpredictable on netTALK sometimes it works most of the time when really need it it doesn't without having to do a bunch of plugging and unplugging of the duo device. I have come to count on it not working when I need it so always restart device. Another annoying issue is that it cuts off calls after 10 or 15 minutes which is aggravating if you are on hold in a queue. Don't bother with support they waste your time telling you the same stuff - certain ports need to be opened, which I had opened after the first call to them. If you do feel the urge to live on the edge and purchase this service in Canada note that for the basic 1 year subscription the advertised $49.95 does not include just over $11 in additional fees and this is in US dollars so by the time you are finished at current exchange rates you are looking at over $80 Canadian.
The mobile phone app is cool
everything else about this service, customer service and support are poor and
actual phone service is terrible. Cannot rely on this as being your primary
phone service.
