"I am very satisfied with the Vocalocity system, quality of calls, reliability of service and the features, especially for a small business owner."

by Richard Karlen, Millenium Financial Services

Vocalocity specializes in providing VoIP to small businesses. Vocalocity tries to balance a low price with the features and scalability that small businesses need.

Vocalocity’s hosted PBX technology has helped cut phone costs by 50 to 85 percent for small businesses. Part of this discount comes from Vocalocity’s investment in VoIP technology—they own and develop everything they send you. All phones have been certified, and all the software will be updated as quickly as it can be.

Vocalocity also offers a great deal of helpful VoIP features as standard features: a unified inbox for fax, email, and voicemail, call flip, voicemail transcription, a useful dashboard interface. And that’s just the beginning. Check with Vocalocity for more information.

Vocalocity - from a Manhattan, NY customer

Posted on: Aug 03, 2012
Pros
good sound quality. does not seem to affect internet speed. lots of flexibility and control over what happens when someone calls you
Cons
none yet

My company has been using Vocalocity for a little over a year now and we have been extremely pleased. We had a lot of problems previously with Verizon, mostly customer service issues, double billing, not billing, getting one answer from one person and then a different answer from the next person you talk to. Final straw was when they cut off service for a day despite the fact we had a credit with the account. One of the primary purposes of moving to Vocalocity was to make sure we could route calls to our cell phones if there were issues with the main line. Until I made the move I didn't realize how much flexibility there could be with the phone service. We really have control of how calls are routed when people call now. Most of the time we let calls just ring through but the ability to route them different ways is great. And we really like the voice-mail feature that emails you when someone leaves a message. The transcription is not always very good but there is an actual audio file attached so you can play the message on your cell phone. Basically you are always aware of who has called you, whether you are in office are not. i was worried how it would affect our internet speed but I have not noticed any deterioration.

Pros
The cost, reliability and variety of service options are great. I especially like the mobile app and the options it provides. Whenever I've needed Technical Support, the reps were very knowledgeable and helpful.
Cons

Vocalocity is a great partner to my business. We have been a customer for over two years. The service is affordable and reliable. In addition, Vocalocity continues to offer new features and functions to help increase productivity and provide information to help manage my business. The mobile app is awesome....love the flexibility. I definitely recommend Vocalocity as a top quality VoIP provider.

Amazing company to work with - robust features

Posted on: Jul 11, 2012
Pros
Business class voip. excellent customer service and tech support. very fast shipping. advanced features, constantly developing new features.
Cons
US based support, can't ask a customer service rep what country they are in.

excellent company to work with. Tried a few other providers that "stretched" their marketing material and seemed very unorganized once you work with them. Vocalocity has been spot on with delivering since day one. I've been with them for other 3 years now and would recommend them to ANY sized business. very cost effective with robust features.

Solid company - Great service

Posted on: Jul 10, 2012
Pros
Price, feature set and most of all - customer service!
Cons
A few features need further development, but they keep churning out updates all the time.

Have been with Vocalocity for over a year and found them very reliable. The feature set is very good, although there is always room for improvement. Great system for 1 or 2 line offices all the way up to 100's with multiple offices. Configuration is a breeze and if you get stuck, a phone call to one of the friendly reps will get you sorted out.
Highly recommend these guys!

Ola was very helpfu todayl in solving my problem associated with an account migration. She was patient, kind and had a good sense of humor too. She thoroughly tested every phone call route to be sure the problem was solved.

Vocalocity: Problems Persisted

Posted on: Mar 11, 2012
Pros
Great features...
Cons
Reliability, customer service, and sound quality are poor. We had separate locations w/ different hardware at each one, the problems persisted in both places.

Hopefully this review will help someone else from going through what I have... I was a customer of Aptela for 5 + years until Vocalocity bought / merged w/them... In any event the last 6 mths has been a disaster and we just changed to a new provider. Our business is dependent on the phones. I have (2) locations and (2) seperate routers, modems, and internet connections and can attest that it isn't just an IT issue on my side as they will swear up and down when you call for assistance. The frustrating thing w/ this company is their service is poor and yet they will always find a way to blame it on our internet connection, modem, router, switch, etc... I replaced everything to what they recommended and finally they conceded...However, they have cost me THOUSANDS and I can't get a call back... customer service was a joke, I asked to speak to the manager and was told there wasn't one. It seemed like there was a group of young kids running the place and didn't have answers so they would just pass us around. I can't be clearer... I believe if you use this company and you need reliable; phones, customer service, professionalism, and you value your health and business, you should look anywhere but Aptela/Vocalocity. I can also substantiate another review on here I saw wherein the reviewer stated the customer service techs will assert various things relating to the technology at one's office, but yet they aren't qualified. Several times I had qualified VOIP techs on site who said these people were making unfounded claims and in several instances they were very contradictory. I'd be happy to expound to anyone who has further questions regarding how poor our experience was. I will say the features they offer are great and innovative, they just aren't reliable. Also, my poor experience began in the last 6-8 mths, however, I have been told multiple times it was just a "server" issue or the platform was being transferred. Good luck to all.

Vocalocity: A lot of features which we like, but...

Posted on: May 16, 2011
Pros
A lot of features which we like. the configuration is pretty easy. the sound quality is fair.
Cons
Reliability is poor.

Reliability is poor. It is Monday 05/16/2011 13:00 and all of my phones are down. The call to vocalocity's tech supports says it is out of service. This happened last month also. It means three or fours hours of customers not getting through and other problems. This is a very expensive issue for us. After it happened last month, we only received the general apology and some excuse email. No personal contact or direct acknowledgement. We are actively seeking another provider today.

Vocalocity - Powering Small Business

Posted on: Mar 20, 2010
Pros
no contracts
Cons

I was a little worried at first but once I tried Voip from Vocalocity and noticed that the sound quality was better than my AT&T hard lines along with the monetary savings, I was convinced that this was the way to go.  Happy I made the switch and have recommended it to many other reps that I deal with.

Vocalocity: great combo of price & quality

Posted on: Feb 20, 2010
Pros
price features quality
Cons
none so far

We are executive recruiters and phone quality is important to us. Cost is also important. With Vocalocity we found a great combination of the two. We saved a lot of money by switching. We also love the features that we got as part of the service. I would recommend that when you make a switch to voip, negotiate with the providers as I got a better deal than they initially offered.

Vocalocity is good for my business

Posted on: Nov 21, 2009
Pros
Price! Quality Service
Cons
none so far

I own a small credit and collections company and our phones are our lives. We were a bite nervous about switching to voip from our old fashioned telephone company, but we had to do it to cut costs. We are glad we did because the quality is actually better at half the price. This was a godsend to our company. Vocalocity did a good job and the transition was painless. We would recommend it.
