"In my experience, everything nearly about this company, from quality to customer service, has been excellent."

by Christie

TeleBlend is a residential VoIP phone provider and internet service provider. These complementary functions mean that TeleBlend can ensure the quality of their phone service. Plus, with certain deals, you can get Internet as a part of the bargain.

Teleblend offers a variety of plans. The Unlimited Calling plan is one of the cheapest on the market: only $15.95 a month for unlimited residential calls between the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada—and without a contract. The Unlimited Annual Plan offers the same features and calling, but requires a contract to lock in the lower price. Their Global Unlimited Plan runs a few dollars more per month but includes unlimited calling to 47 popular countries (it also requires a one-year contract). The Global Limited Plan, in contrast, offers 300 international minutes to 42 countries, but without a contract.

Teleblend’s most cost-effective option is the High Speed DSL with Phone Plan. This bundle has an upper price limit of $39.99 a month, significantly cheaper than similar broadband internet services, not to mention the included VoIP telephone service.

Not a good company. Read the complaints all are true. I have had all of the same problems with this company. You will be disappointed. If you save any money at all they will take it when you leave them. Please beware this company should be shut down. Don't let them continue to rip off more people. Please post your horror stories till they close shop.

TeleBlend: Billing Cycle

Posted on: Feb 17, 2012
Pros
Price
Cons
Billing cycle: Payment posting date manipulation (possibly leading into a crime to unsuspecting consumers), call quality drop during mid morning and early afternoon hours.
Below is a snapshot of my payment history with Teleblend VOIP.
I reviewed my credit card statement and noticed the payment posting dates are fluctuated beginning december 2009.
August 2011 is when I had 2 payments posted in the same month.
If you have your VOIP phone service with Teleblend and you have been paying your bill via Automatic payment, I suggest that you should look at your Teleblend account payment history to review charges posted by Teleblend.
They slowly manipulating the payment cycles. The "Date Received" Column is the payment posting date. I been receiving ebills and I haven't been paying close attention until now.
Watch out for your billing statement Teleblend's customer if this hasn't happened to you yet.
I will be contacting Teleblend regarding this issue, and I will keep everyone posted

Dates go back beyond 1/22/2008 were omitted.
I been a SunRocket customer for a few years prior to Teleblend taking over SunRocket's good name. Teleblend has been acceptable with their VOIP quality to me until I noticed the billing/payment posting date manipulation.
I considering a different VOIP carrier, who would be honest with their billing.

Way to go, TeleBlend

Posted on: Apr 29, 2011
Pros
Reliable, great value, tons of features
Cons
Nothing I can think of

I cannot believe the complaints of folks like wabah. Why is it that everyone is trying to get something for nothing? Companies cannot do business for free. The companies that do offer free trials or waive fees, make up for it on the back end with hidden charges and fees and fine print. I would rather the company be honest like they did with the chat with Wabah. They don't waive the fees, good. Wabah want's a free trial so he/she can try and if he does not like it, get all his money back? This isn't Burger King. If you use the service you will be charged for it. If you don't "like" it, then cancel your service and move on. Stop trying to get refunds. It is people like Wabah that drive costs of doing business up because they are the ones that stand in line at our stores and complain that they were deceived that the bananas at the store said $0.68/lb and now they were charged $0.69/lb. Please people, Stop being this whiny, self-centered individuals with entitlement issues. I complete agree with what the rep said on the chat room. The fact is I have signed up for the service, completely love it and save over $25 per month on my phone bill over Comcast. Best of all, I can assign numbers to all my kids at home so they can have their own voicemail accounts and log to their own portal to manage their features. All this for $15.95? Phenominal. Way to go, TeleBlend. Don't waive any fees for any of the losers that want something for free. If you want something in life, earn it or pay for it. That simple.

Good Cust Service and Quality

Posted on: Feb 14, 2011
Pros
Voice quality, reliability
Cons
Different settings for dsl and cable (need to know), current intermittent call answering issue

I don't know what "wahab's" problem is, but he/she definitely has an attitude.  Get over yourself and admit that the world doesn't revolve around mooches like you.  There are costs associated with running a buinsess and if you don't like the price structure, well, that's what capitalism is all about.  Find someone else.

I, too, was scammed by Sunrocket - signed up for the 2-year deal for 1-year pricing and only got 3 months!  grrrr...but,

I have found Teleblend to provide good overall service, but, contrary to most posters here, I have found their customer service to be the high point!  I recently moved within state and had no trouble finding out my options and receiving instructions on how to get a new number in my new area code.  Everything was well explained and the CS reps were extremely friendly and well informed.  I have also used this service with cable internet as well as DSL, and their help forums were great in setting it up with DSL, as there is a PPPoe setting to change between cable internet service and DSL.

Now, my only complaint at this point - half the time I try to answer calls, the call isn't answered, the caller just hears a continuing ring and goes to VM.  Happens sometimes, and other times, not.  ??  That is actually why I am here - was going to the teleblend site to look for solutions.  Who knows, it may be my phone, but I'll start troubleshooting with the service, as equipment failures are pretty rare.

Oh yeah, and almost forgot - the $15.95 (or whatever) is much less than our old LD bill, so I have kept the POTS line and use this one as a second line in the home and for all LD calls.  Great deal!

TeleBlend: Best VoIP Value

Posted on: Aug 08, 2010
Pros
Best VOIP Value anywhere. They provide reliable service at an incredible price.
Cons
The are apparently a very small outfit and their web portal is somewhat of a work in progress...some stuff works and some stuff doesn't.

I have had Teleblend since Sun Rocket went under.  I cannot remember a time when I have not had a dialtone and service in 2+ years.  I have read the negative reviews but I understand that only so much customer service can be provided when they charge so little.  My experience with CS is that they are always polite and the level of service has been entirely adequate.  In my opinion, the best customer service they have provied me is a dial tone each and every time I have used their service.  If I have dial tone and can receive calls, that is the best customer service I could ask for.

TeleBlend Unhappy Custoemr Review

Posted on: Jun 14, 2010
Pros
not sure
Cons
Horrible care service for even a potential customer

I let the conversation speak for itself, horrible! prior to the below chat I was almost there to sign up with them, however not anymore...

You are now chatting with TeleBlend Customer Care

TeleBlend Customer Care: Hello, how may I assist you today?
Wahab: Hello there
TeleBlend Customer Care: hi
Wahab: I want to find out more about the activation fees
Wahab: with a new service is it could it be waived
TeleBlend Customer Care: Okay, which plan are you looking to sign up for?
Wahab: that i'm not sure between, the monthly 15.95 or the annual sign up for $99.99
TeleBlend Customer Care: No, I'm sorry we do not waive the activation at all for new service
TeleBlend Customer Care: For the monthly plan it's $29.99 for activation, $9.99 for shipping. For the annual plan it's $39.99 plus $9.99 for shipping.
Wahab: i see quite some fees here, first there was one for $19.99 for activation, then there is a phone port fee, and now i see another one that says, under Devices, $29.99 + $9.95 shipping
TeleBlend Customer Care: That is correct. Although I'm not sure where you are seeing $19.99
Wahab: looks like quite some upfront fee before even trying the service, is there any that can be waived
TeleBlend Customer Care: There is a one time port fee of $14.95 to transfer a number to us.
TeleBlend Customer Care: No, we don't waive those fees.
Wahab: so under devices it says: VoIP Phone Adapter with Built-In Router - FREE - with $29.95 One-Time Activation Fee, $9.95 Shipping
No thanks, I will use my own - with $5.95 One-Time Activation Fee.

TeleBlend Customer Care: It's all done thru our website for sign up so there is no way for us to waive those fees.
TeleBlend Customer Care: Correct
Wahab: what is the difference between using your own device, is there a list of supported phone adaptorrs
TeleBlend Customer Care: You can only use an adapter that we previously configured to work on our server
TeleBlend Customer Care: If you received it from us or Sunrocket previously
Wahab: so lets say i get the service but not happy after it, is there a complete refund on whats paid
TeleBlend Customer Care: No, there is no trial period
TeleBlend Customer Care: We do not prorate or refund service
Wahab: hmm ok...sounds great
Wahab: if this is the type of support you are giving to the customers who are trying to sign up with you, one can just imagine what service your current customers get
TeleBlend Customer Care: I've answered your questions, I'm sorry if you feel that is bad support.
Wahab: defiantly bad support, no customer care is kept in mind, just purely business and to make profit
Wahab: you sound more of a robot than a human being
TeleBlend Customer Care: I'm sorry you feel that way, have a good day.
Wahab: Is this a way to talk to your potential customers? what kind of support you give you to current customers then
TeleBlend Customer Care: I'm not going to argue with you, I answered your questions and because we won't waive fees and give you things free you want to attack me. That's not what I'm here for.
Wahab: Its not about giving things for free, it was just a question if you do waive some of the fees or not, whats pity is that you dont even bother offering refund if someone doesnt like your service and ask for so much upfront fee as if you are well recognized company
Wahab: i'm literally going to take this chat and post it all over the voip review forums to let people know how you guys are, simply rude and like robots
Wahab: and this with potential customers, i can understand with current customers, since you have them by the neck
Wahab: but not with a potential customers
Wahab: Why you arent saying anything, its a polite way to hang up on your potential customer?
Wahab: is that a good care?
TeleBlend Customer Care: You are entitled to your opinion, have a good day.
Wahab: Sure, you cant take that right away from me, can you? you would have if you could? what is your opinion about the type of service, waht if your personal home provider was like this
Wahab: hello
Wahab: are u there
Wahab: been a few minutes since heard from you
Wahab: now you are dissing

Pros
pretty much everything
Cons
none so far! like to keep it that way

what a find!I am so glad i stumbled onto their website, 15.95 a month are you kidding me, i just switched to an annual plan that is only 99 for the year, there was a fee of $40 bucks to switch but still 140 for a year is nothing, its was easy to set up, like two cords, i did have an issue with calls, it turned out it was a simple setting in my router, i didnt know this but a lot of companies routers you rent, block off ports and set up firewall settings to block your voip companies equipment from working, that way you get annoyed and cancel service, what a dirty trick, customer service is friendly in helpful, im glad i finally found a cheap reliable service, i know voip can be a mixed bag because it totally relies on your internet to work or not, but i dont think a lot of people understand that, because i see alot of negative reviews for voip companies about voice quality, but its really not the fault of the voip as much as your internet provider, people assume that if something isn't working on the phone, its the phones companies fault, but usually it is a internet problem. i was paying like 40 something with cable and that was half of my old land line with this nightmare of a company called fairpoint up in new england. i love saving money especially in this economy.

TeleBlend: Stay away

Posted on: Oct 02, 2009
Pros
Cons

I had to reboot router several times in 3 months to get around problems. Customer service is non-existent. Ported the number over to Vonage; tried to cancel service but you can only leave voicemail. No one calls back. Finally talked to the billing department and cancelled. It was a hassle; customer service rude and uncooperative; refused to refund credit card charges for the number ported before billing cycle. Funny, they advised me to contact Vonage for compensation; which is what Vonage did... This company is dishonest to say the least...

Posted on: Jun 19, 2009
Pros
Their are none.
Cons
WARNING!!!!!!

Teleblend phone service is bad. Their costumer service is nonexistent and don't even try to email Teleblend you will never receive a response. I was a Sunrocket costumer that purchase the buy a year get a year free, but when they switch over to Teleblend they did not honor my deal and Teleblend service was bad, I could not receive or make phone calls so I canceled my service and got an email back 2 months later saying my account was closed, then 3 months later I receive an email from Teleblend saying my account was past due. I email them back telling them I had canceled my account and sent them a copy of my cancellation email from 3 months ago, and they still sent my bill to a collection agency.
