We have been with RingCentral since 2008 back when the company was just a one man shop. The owner loved RingCentral back then as he had a toll-free number with auto attendant giving his company a bigger image. He was also able to turn off the business phone at a certain time through schedules ensuring that he did not receive business calls after business hours. The icing on the cake was that he no longer had to give out his personal phone numbers, well just to RingCentral.
As the company grew so did the ways in which RingCentral was used. Each remote worker has their own extension which can be monitored for usage to reimburse expenses. Also workers can set their own schedule allowing them to determine when they are available and each location has their own RingCentral phone number with its own schedule. Faxes are included which is great on the few occasions each month when a fax needs to be sent or received, and everyones voicemail goes to their own email. No need for a voicemail email address that then needs to be distributed to each person.
The only two features missing are text messaging and text to speech greetings. The text to speech greetings would be great as the available greetings are limited and need to be recorded, something people are reluctant to do.
Other than that the service is great and we plan on being with RingCentral for several more years.
