"After switching to Nextiva, we now have ten phones, an automated attendant, a dedicated T-1 for internet, twice as many employees, and our monthly cost is still $500 less than before. The call quality is great, everyone has their own voicemail, customers love how easy it is to access reps, we couldn’t be happier."

by Jon Floyd, CEO EFX

Nextiva has changed business phone service for good; Nextiva's phone service combines high-quality service with incredible technical support — and you can keep your arms and your legs. One of the best in the business today, Nextiva delivers powerful communications capability with simplicity and ease of use.

Nextiva has two basic phone plans: Connect and Nextiva Office. Both have multiple scalable options: as you increase your calling capabilites (for instance, expanding from 1,000 minutes a month to unlimited minutes) your monthly flat rate increases. But that’s it: there aren’t setup fees or contracts (that is, unless you want one; like most other VoIP providers, Nextiva offers a discount to encourage you to sign a contract).

No matter what plan you choose, Nextiva will load your plan with useful features. Even Connect 100 (100 minutes for $8.95 a month) offers 10 virtual extensions, along with cell phone integration, follow me features, advanced voicemail features and more. Plus, Nextiva offers a wide variety of helpful customer support options — including US-based support.

Nextiva also offers efax and SIP trunking service. Use the banner above to visit their website and get custom pricing.

Review of Nextiva

Posted on: Dec 28, 2012
Pros
Running and managing the phone system has been great. Getting started did take some getting used to but the customer service is helpful and friendly.
Cons
Nothing glaring

When I've needed help the support staff answers the phone quickly and gets what I need handled. Call quality and the system features work great. I recommend.

Nextiva's been a dependable solution for my phone service.

Posted on: Dec 23, 2012
Pros
Customer support. Price. Adding or editing employees online. Flexibility of system.
Cons
Technical knowledge is needed. While the customer service is good, friendly, and helpful, I don't think it's simple enough for everyone to use. If you aren't technically experienced, getting started will take time. Once it works, it's just phones.

Nextiva's been a dependable solution for my phone service. They deliver a great service & I highly recommend going with them. Make sure to test your Internet speed before going with a voice over Internet phone company.

Nextiva for Ranjan & Khan

Posted on: Dec 06, 2012
Pros
Customer service: Bar none the best customer service I've received from a company. Features: Tons of them and the phones do a lot. Call customer service to learn about the phones. Price: I pay $30/line after tax. I was paying $65 before I switched.
Cons
No new 800 numbers. In order to get 800 I had to buy them online. Nextiva only had 888,877,866, etc.

If you are using or considering to go with Nextiva, make sure to call their support and spend time learning about what the system can do. It's more than just basic phone service and it's able to do many different things. I've created different settings for different groups and departments at my office. Their customer service is the best.

My clients and I use Nextiva

Posted on: Nov 30, 2012
Pros
Cons

I'm an IT director and serve as a consultant on my off time for local companies. Throughout my career I've implemented on-premise PBX phone systems and supported my clients when they were in need. As I've moved many systems and processes to hosted environments, I decided to consider hosted phone systems earlier this year. After researching platforms and service providers, I made the choice to recommend Nextiva after testing them. The technology they have is impressive, twitter support is rock solid, and flat out the features out perform what I was getting out of Shoretel and other premise based systems. One advantage of Nextiva has been the call reporting tools. I'm able to retrieve important calling data for my clients and they use this to manage employees. But most importantly, Nextiva provides the support and houses all the technology. The customer service engineers have always been quick and smart. Again, I can't express how helpful the support via twitter has been. My posts get replied to quickly. Nextiva and hosted technology as a whole is the way to go.

Worst VOIP Service Ever!

Posted on: Nov 27, 2012
Pros
Lots of features if you can get anything to work!
Cons
Dropped calls. Poor technical support. Overpriced for the aggravation caused trying to resolve problems with service.

From the beginning there were problems. Porting and set-up took weeks due to incompetent Nextiva employees. Have been with them for 2+ years and have had recurring problems with dropped calls. Technical support is horrid! As a non-technical person, I was suggesting options to technicians. (They should offer me a job!) My latest issue was with dropped calls on my 800 number. Nextiva refuses to take responsibility for the problem and has charged me for over a month of dropped calls to my 800 number. They put me on hold for minutes at a time (on my cell phone, no less!), do not return calls and are generally incompetent! I am finally biting the bullet and am going to drop them. Can anyone recommend a good business VOIP service for my business?

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Nextiva Rating

Posted on: Nov 24, 2012
Pros
Setting up the phones went as expected. I called customer service for help and they were patient, courteous, and helpful. The price I pay for 5 lines is almost half my previous bill. No waiting on hold when I call them. Calls to my desk forward to my cell phone if I don't answer. Good features. Voicemail messages are sent to my outlook. Our front desk receptionist takes less nonsense calls since the phone attendant routes where to go. There is a management interface online but I haven't used it. I prefer calling Nextiva for assistance, but it's good to have.
Cons
I pay $130 a month and this is a large savings for me. The initial payment was higher though since I needed to purchase voice over ip phones. Plan to pay approximately $100/line for each phone.

Traveling has become easier for me. The new phones let me send callers to my cell phone when I'm not in the office. I didn't have this feature before Nextiva but now can't live without it.

Nextiva during Sandy

Posted on: Nov 12, 2012
Pros
Cons
None

Taking a look back at what my office and I went through during Sandy, I'd like to share how valuable Nextiva was during the tough time. They deserve 5 stars across the board.
I'm an attorney and have clients throughout the Northeast as well as in California. Having lost power, gas, Internet, and lots of other things, my home and office phones stopped working. As soon as I noticed this, I called Nextiva and they recorded a special message for callers to our main office phone, letting them know about Sandy and what was going on. They also forwarded our direct line numbers to cell phones, so when people needed to reach us directly, they were able to. This was a huge relief and our calls weren't going to busy signals. No other service I have for my company was as smooth and helpful as Nextiva.

Good phones

Posted on: Oct 19, 2012
Pros
-It was easy for me to make the switch and it's been worthwhile.
Cons
-When I started Nextiva I had Clear for my Internet service. The quality wasn't good, calls would be choppy and sound weird so I had to switch internet services. As soon as I started using Cox everything has been better. The internet company made a big difference.

-I used reviews and phone calls to each company in order to make my choice on who to use for my body shop phones. Make sure to buy the phones from them. I don't know how it would be if I bought them from Amazon or someplace else, but I do know that when I got Nextiva all I had to do was plug my phone into the Internet walls and they started working. Like I said above, the internet service made a big difference for me. Clear was not a good option and because it was a wireless connection, the line would cut out sometimes. Now with Cox everything is much better. The technical service people from Nextiva have always been good to speak with too.
