Pros
Solid service, very solid reliability, phones hardware is great, convenient & price efficient
Cons
see "comments" above

Packet8 Virtual OfficeWe have had the service for almost a year and a half. For the most part we are very satisfied. Only three gripes: 1) occasional (very uncommon) digital artifacting during calls (cannot hear the person we're talking to for a second or two); 2) call waiting caller ID causes two short (~2 second) beeps/pauses that cause us to not be able to hear the current conversation momentarily (they say they can turn this off - but then you lose the call waiting caller ID feature); 3) It took a LONG time and a LOT of phone calls with customer service to finally get our outbound caller ID to show up correctly (on the phones of people we're calling).

Happy with VOIP

Posted on: Mar 05, 2008
Pros
Low Cost, Full Compliment of Business Class Features, Email copies of voicemails.
Cons
No Mac compatible option yet for call management software, slightly clunky web interface, must have high speed access.

We made the switch about 2 years ago. It was not all easy in the early stages as we use high speed wireless for our internet and encountered some hardware/firmware issues early one. However, once those were resolved we have had a fairly good experience. Saved a lot of money and it has enabled us, with a very scattered work crew, to operate with the kind of telephone efficiency you normally could only have gotten from very expensive Centrex type systems.

Poor quality

Posted on: Feb 14, 2008
Pros
Cons
customer service, echoes, poor website, no fax capability

I've had packet 8 since sunrocket went away and have problems. Constant echoes, dropped calls, days without service. Last week could make calls but not receive them and this was a system wide problem. Contacted customer service a numbrer of times and all they say is must be my ISP or phones. No help at all.
