ITP RatingsReviewed by: adamsrebecca (xxx.xxx.146.247) This is my first experience with VOIP. I chose ITP based on telephone interviews and internet research, leaning heavily on positive reviews. Unfortunately, I cannot give the high ratings ascribed in this forum. Porting numbers: 1)I submitted the LOA (authorization to port) immediately after signing up for service on the 9th. I called ITP to inquire why nothing was being done. I was supposed to make a second "confirming phone call." However, I was not asked to re-fax. Therefore the LOA papers were at ITP and lost or mis-filed. This shows poor control of work flow. 2) I was told the numbers would port on the 12 of October, 09. On the 13th of October I called to see why I had no notification of porting. I was told, sorry, there is an error, the numbers won't port until the 14th. Deadlines are not met by this company. I should have been contacted and told the numbers would not port before the 13th. I was not. Quality of connection: 3) Quality of line. The quality is inferior to land line, despite what is said. It has an echo or sounds hollow. 4) ITP to Cell: There is also a problem with certain cell phone connections. If you call and the cell is not answered, you leave a few seconds of message and then the message cuts you off and asks if you are done. It is impossible to leave a message of any length or detail. Customer Service: 5) Customer Service is only on Eastern time, and the wait for a rep can be very long. You can save mucho money with VOIP. However, this comes with a price. One should be aware when making this decision. |
