MagicJack, a Good idea or just another scam?

Pros: None at all
Cons: Never workrd

I purched a MagicJack from Radio Shack and Notified MagicJack that I didnot require for them to send me a MagicJack and signed up for their 30 day "Free Trial". That was a big mistake. They charge me $50.00_ before I even got their junky unit. OH well. You get what you paid for. Big lots would at least sold you a working unit. After installing their software, the problems started. The phone number they assigned me never worked. I was no longer in service. The phone never rang and remained dead even though there was a dial tone. Then the computer started to reboot itself and many things quit working. Tried to contect their Tech Support and It felt like talking to a peanut vendor. Trtied to Opt out of their service and got the run a round. I found it time to notify The BBB, The Florida Stata Attorny, The FTC, The FBI and the News media about this scam. I also made sure that Symantec and Microsoft were made aware of their fraudulent business practices. So I finally received my RMA and are sending their unoppened junk back. I wonder theough if I will ever see my money returned. So my recommendatyions is: DO NOT PURCHACE MAGICJACK, rather use your existing service. The cell worked fine for many years, and the land line is still better that their overblown and over rated junk called "MagicJack" The only magic about it is that it rips you off. And many of us thought Vista was bad. Get rid of the MagicJackBLOKES!
