PhonePowerPros: ok deal, super easy, great sales dept, all statements true, at least so far, totally on schedule, kept my old number with NO problems.
Cons: none
Reviewed by: RichM (xxx.xxx.19.78) Upon getting the boot from ATT CallVantage, I signed with PhonePower a couple of weeks ago, put their GrandStream TA in line AFTER the CallVantage D-Link TA, paid PhonePower the big bucks for their 2 year promotion, and everything has been great during my first 12 hours of full service. Actually, I would rather have copper POTS from ATT, but with the features I need, why pay them $50 bucks a month? Plus, the VOIP's generally offer a cool web site and PhonePower's site is at least as good as CallVantage was. Costwise, I figure the PhonePower 2 year deal with 2 phone lines, etc etc, that I prepaid works out to $11 per month, except for a tax bill burst at the beginning of the "prepaid" 2nd year, and this for "unlimited..." actually up to 5,000 minutes per month. PhonePower claims that at the end of 2 years the bill will be $19.95 per month plus tax, presumably with still 2 lines... which is the same as I was paying for my CallVantage deal. Let's hope all this comes true, with no surprises. So my cable box is daisy chained to my CallVantage D-Link to my PhonePower Grandstream to my router, to my computers. I will remove the D-Link one of these days when I get around to it. |
