Is this speed test good or bad?

Hi,Just found this site and hope someone can explain the speed test result.  I'm using several Vonage lines (two of their adapters) on a Comcast cable connection.The jitter number (you -> server) = 1.9msPacket loss is 0Packets out of order is 0Number of supported voip lines = 18Maximum download pause = 160msAverage download pause = 13msQuality of service = 30%The "summary" page has four green balls that say my voip quality should be good.  But there's a red ball for QoS and it says my voip calls are likely to be "broken."My Vonage voice calls actually sound pretty good and not "broken" at all.  How significant a factor is the QoS if everything else is good?Is there something I can do to improve the QoS?  Is that something that Comcast can fix and, if so, what exactly should I tell them or ask for?

QOS does matter, a bunch

Before I answer your question let me show you what good results look like:

Speed test statistics
---------------------
Download speed: 7358152 bps
Upload speed: 1402584 bps
Download quality of service: 93 %
Upload quality of service: 80 %
Download test type: socket
Upload test type: socket
Maximum TCP delay: 73 ms
Average download pause: 3 ms
Minimum round trip time to server: 62 ms
Average round trip time to server: 64 ms
Estimated download bandwidth: 34400000bps
Route concurrency: 4.675087
Download TCP forced idle: 76 %
Maximum route speed: 8456128bps

And my Voip Test results...

VoIP test statistics
--------------------
Jitter: you --> server: 1.6 ms
Jitter: server --> you: 3.5 ms
Packet loss: you --> server: 0.0 %
Packet loss: server --> you: 0.0 %
Packet discards: 0.0 %
Packets out of order: 0.0 %
Estimated MOS score: 4.0

Notice my QOS or Quality of Service...pretty high eh? Ok, QOS is nothing more than your connection's ability to support a steady stream of data without fluctuations, packet loss and such. For a voip conversation to be high quality you need to have a steady data stream. You probably want to run the tests again.

The site I used for this was http://www.ispgeeks.com

Click on Broadband Diagnostics and you will see several really useful tools there to help you.
