How are our search results determined?
- Any provider can get a listing for free.
- Providers can upgrade their listing. They can have their logo displayed, get extra links out to their site, and have us manage their listings. They can also get placed higher in the search results as is explained below.
- Agents or companies reselling another company’s brand cannot get listings.
- Search results are limited to all calling plans matching the users search criteria.
- If you search for a certain feature or price range only those matching your criteria will show up.
- The ordering of results is determined by an open bidding system.
- Providers compete against each other for a top position in the search results. Those paying the most show up at the top. Companies receiving a free listing show up in the search results but only after those who value your business the most and have bid to be in the top position.
- Search results can be reordered by any ordering method such as monthly price, user rating, or some other factor and the bids of providers are ignored.
Reviews
Reviews are done by users only. We currently do not do reviews of providers since we are receiving payment from some providers and other providers are receiving free listings. This would subject us to being bias.
The Theory of Marketplace Results
By having companies bid for the top position in the search results we believe we can supply you with the most relevant results. The economic theory is that the companies who are able to pay the most for your business are the ones who value your business the most. In the case of a VoIP subscription those who value your business the most are those who will keep you as a customer the longest. The longer you remain a customer the more valuable you are as a customer. Therefore they are willing to pay more to keep you as a customer. And most importantly, the longer you are a customer the more likely it is that you are a satisfied customer. On average, having providers bid for your business aligns customers with the VoIP providers they are most likely to stay with and be happy with over the long term .
