I was happy enough with the poor sound until my wife started having problems calling in to monitor educational conference calls. Last week, magic jack starting dropping her call after fifteen minutes. This week, it refused to complete the call with a recording saying that magic jack could not connect to this conference call, and suggesting we use magic jack to originate a conference call. We contacted magic jack via online chat and were informed that Magic Jack had decided to not allow calls to join a conference call. We've long ago dropped our regular phone service, sacrificing our older phone number to save a buck. I think they should change their name to MAGIC JERKS

Magic Jack Blocking Access to Conferencing Services

Magic Jack (MJ) has started blocking access to various conferening services in an attempt to get you to use their. Unfortunately, when you are the participant, you have no choice.

Up to this point the MJ service has been fairly good. Occasiaionly I have to hang up or redial, or get poor voice quality. But, you get what you pay for.

I regards to the blocking of access to certain numbers, I will be filing a complaint with the FCC on this issue.
