Verizon is helping solve a longstanding problem with congested emergency communication. Using IP technology to connect emergency teams and by linking radio, voice, data and wireless networks, on a single network, Verizon Communications Interoperability Solution, is designed to create a pathway for blocked messages between public safety groups operating on otherwise incompatible networks. The service will employ Cisco devices and applications to complete the interoperable networks. This flagship program for the Interoperability Solution will position Verizon as the leader in public service telecommunications provider.
