Benefits Of Internet Fax
Here are six benefits to Internet faxing over traditional faxing.
- Internet faxing uses the Internet. That makes it faster and more efficient. Traditional faxing uses your phone line. This is less efficient and more expensive. Since Internet faxing uses, ahem, the Internet, it means that you can:
- Send and receive multiple faxes simultaneously. With traditional faxing, you send a fax. Then you receive a fax. And if you don't time it right, you get a lot of busy signals and earsplitting data transfer noise. (That earsplitting stuff, we should mention is the very mechanism by which your data is being transferred).
- Online faxing doesn't use a fax machine or an additional phone line. Traditional faxing … uses a fax machine and an additional phone line; both cost extra. And when the fax machine breaks, it costs a lot extra. Instead, Internet faxing is browser-based. When your browser "breaks," you can just close and restart it.
- Since Internet fax works online, you can access it from pretty much anywhere. Since Internet fax is primarily email-based, wherever your email goes, your fax machine goes. With a traditional fax, faxes can only be sent to the fax machine. And that machine also has to be on.
- Internet fax saves resources. Since all faxes are exchanged electronically, you can just print the ones you want to print. No paper wasted. With a traditional fax, you have to get the hard copy of each fax – because it is sent to your fax machine.
- If you want to organize those hard copies electronically, you need to scan them and file them. With an Internet fax, the copies are already electronically organized.
With Internet fax, you aren't spending money on: fax paper, extra copier paper (for inkjet fax machines), printer ink (for the same), fax machines, or fax machine help hotlines. You'll have more hair (because it will stay on your head, instead of being torn out) and your business will have more money (because you aren't spending it on fax machines anymore).
There will be more benefits as Internet faxing becomes more and more mainstream. We'll be here to let you know.
