CISCO VOICE OVER IP

While there are many quality VoIP providers from which to choose, Cisco Voice over IP or VoIP is certainly at the top.  Keep in mind that when choosing the right VoIP service provider for your business, one of the most important aspects of that decision is capacity planning.  With Cisco VoIP you get exactly that as well as bandwidth calculation, which is also important for the design and troubleshooting of your voice network.  You want a provider that has the interest and capability to expand, to help your business mature.

Another benefit of choosing Cisco VoIP is that within the past few months, both Cisco and IMB announced that they would be working together to roll out IP voice for the small and medium size business.  Designed as a turnkey solution, this package comes with Cisco IP phones, as well as IP PBX software, bundled with an Intel-based IBM server.  The result of this Cisco VoIP solution is that, as the business owner, you have the complete package needed to deploy VoIP.

This bundled package could mean that Cisco VoIP may be off loaded to benefit VoIP business with other partners.  Additionally Cisco certifies that the software used for the package, CallManager IP PBX, is capable to run effectively on IBM’s eServer xSeries 330.  With this Cisco VoIP solution, along with Windows 2000, the Cisco phones, and the planning and installation from IBM Global Services, the customer will enjoy the sold bundle and product support.

Prior to this announcement the Cisco VoIP solution only included CallManager using its own branded Windows-based server hardware.  Many people wondered how long it would take for Cisco voice over IP to collaborate with other companies as a way of providing advanced products such as the telephony server hardware. Now it is official.

Amazingly the Cisco voice over IP solution has only been in the market for a couple of years.  However, because of the solid reputation that Cisco has for their innovation and support, it is no wonder that they are taking the world of VoIP for small and medium businesses by storm.  In fact, in the first quarter of 2003, Cisco was the top vendor of IP phones.

When comparing the Cisco VoIP solutions with other providers, the two things in network design that you need to focus on to help your business grow are cost and service.  The cost is an obvious consideration.  Business owners are looking for ways to expand their customer base while still making a profit.

For service, once you have secured a customer, if that customer is not offered the best service popular, you will lose them.  Therefore you need to be able to provide superior service.  Both of these qualities are offered with the Cisco Voice over IP solution making it a number one choice for your business.
