Problems with GlobalNetalk
Hi, somebody knows what happen with GlobalNetalk? I've tried to communicated with them via phone or mail and don´t answer, the phone it´s dead and the mail returns my messages. Thank´s.

Their new number is 800-254-3109 new email is support@globaltouchtelecom.com PS: I have had nothing but problems every month with their billing. This is my last month with them. I am just waiting for my number to be ported over to my new provider.

Hi goodpilot, the contact info given by the post above is correct. GlobalNETalk was a reseller for GlobalTouch Telecom is what I've been told (after dialing that number). I haven't had any problems (billing or service) yet, even when GlobalNETalk stopped, they removed all charges from my account. Customer service each time I've called has been excellent: friendly, helpful, and they've made sure to get a correct/final answer to my questions. Hopefully things continue on in this fashion. I received an email this morning. Have you received any correspondence from them yet?

Jeff, What do you mean that when Global Netalk stopped, they removed all charges on your account? Why have you had to call them? Over the past 40 years, I've used the old "Ma Bell" system (Ohio Bell) and (Bell South) and I cannot remember ever having to call them. I picked up the receiver and had good quality service day in and day out. Every month since Oct 2006, I've had to call these idiots at Global because they can't seem to deduct the right amount on my credit card. Then to top it all off, they add interest charges because I didn't pay the entire bill. I told them they are the ones that control the payment being deducted on my credit card. My bill plainly staes "DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED." I offered to send a check every month due to constant billing problems, but they are not set up for this type of payment. So, I am switching providers. They scare me with their irresponible handling of my credit card. They made me an offer to make a one time payment for one year in advance service, but I was afraid that they will not be around that long. In less than 3 months, they have already switched to a new provider. I can't believe I'm the only person that is having a billing problem. With a bill of $21.50 a month, why would they deduct $9.23, and them charge me 19 cents for a finance charge because I didn't pay the entire bill, duh?

Hi fotomann, thanks for the post. Yeah, I didn't mention why I called them. I may have mentioned that a few weeks ago GlobalNETalk said they were not going to be in business or something so they credited my account (I'd used their service for a bit, but they didn't charge me anything in the end...I verified this by contacting my credit card company). Then I received a message this morning from GlobalTouch Telecom stating that they had hired GlobalNETalk as a reseller of their product but were discontinuing that relationship and providing the service themselves. I'm actually doing the annual payment thing now, I just wanted to make sure with them that the price they gave me will hold true and not increase (otherwise I would cancel as well, but the price I'm paying is incredible, especially with the quality of calls I have had so far). Yeah, I wish that these companies would allow us to pay by check as well, I always feel uncomfortable when someone has access to my credit card. Hopefully this company doesn't have any more problems...I've heard of other providers who offered good service but turned the customers away with either inept or rude support or billing or customer service. With your comments in mind, I'll be doubly sure to be on the lookout for incorrect billing. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Hi Goodpilot - I too had Global Netalk and my phone went dead a few days ago. Here's what I found out. GN is out of business. They were purchasing the service wholesale from Global Touch Telecom, who I'm with now for $19.99 a month - same service. Per Global Touch, GN did not even pay their bill to Global Touch when it came time to pay them. Makes me wonder where all our pre-paid annual fee dollars disappeared to? I've disputed the annual fee I paid thru my credit card - don't know if it'll work or not, but I pre-paid for a year with GN and only had just under three months' service. I experienced great service from Global Touch and it was a cinch to set up with them as they already had my account info as they have GN's database. Hi TJ, how have you liked your service with them so far? I didn't stick with them since they didn't allow me to keep the monthly rate I was paying (10/month for Global NetTalk since they offered a special deal for VoipReview users) and I wanted to get service for under their still good 19.99 price. I did like the service from Global NetTalk though...Have you had any problems at all? And do they have a website? Thanks for your time!
