Voip Light goes out occasionally

Hi, Every couple of hours the voip light goes out and I lose dialtone. If I disconnect the ethernet cable and reconnect, voip comes back and again the light goes out after 4 hours. By this way there is a communication failure and i am unable to make calls after i lose dialtone. Could anyone please suggest me on this. How do i rectify this problem? Regards, Neil.

Hi Neil...Which VoIP Provider do you have? And did you try their technical support office yet?

Hi Neil, not sure if this'll help at all: http://voipreview.org/Forum/thread/130.aspx. Maybe you already read those tips. Have you called SunRocket's technical support yet? And what type of internet connection do you have? I've seen some posts on here saying that problems arose due to the internet provider, so you might try them too? Also, if you aren't getting great help from their support, you might try the Tech Support for another provider and ask them if they have any ideas as to the cause and/or solution. Let me know, hope things work out in quick fashion!

Hi Jeff, I have finally got my issue solved by sunrocket technical team with much delay. I had even gone through the thread sent by you long time back and tried the Powercycle option and also the other options without any solution for my issue. I tried contacting the Sunrocket technical support a number of times and was given a ticket number for my issue. I had to wait for a couple of days for my issue to be resolved by the Sunrocket technical team with much delay and with continuous calls to them. This has really put me in a situation to still continue with sunrocket as I have already paid for the yearly subscription.

Hi , I am planning to change my voip services to other provider, as i didn't find the technical support of Sunrocket team that impressive. Has anyone heard about Allo.com, which is a new voip service company. I went through their website and it was new to hear about the feature called as Mobilevoip. Does anyone know about this feature, if so please explain this to me. Regards, Neil.

Hello again Neil, I found them on this site, but they don't have much info up yet. But I did click through from here and go to their site where I found the following information about mobilevoip. Looks pretty much like the same thing as access numbers that some companies will give their customers, or a remote office almost. What was bad about SR's tech support? Just too slow like you mentioned in your other post? Not reassuring enough? Bye for now, have a good day.

So Neil did you signed up with Allo? Because if you did, both companies are now closed. (SunRocket and Allo) What voip provider are you using now? Just wanna know so I could stay clear of that company... :) j/k
