Cordia Review: Worth it.

Hi. I've had Cordia for about 10 months now. At first the service was excellent in spite of the 3-way call feature not working correctly. Then, all of a sudden, we didn't receive incoming calls for a couple months. Thankfully, as suddenly as it stopped, we began to receive calls again and have had no problems since. Every now and again there is a bit of static or delay when in a conversation and loading a page on the web at the same time; I have been told that this would be solved entirely if I had a faster internet connection. Naturally, most experiences will differ. That said, for the price I pay (the 15 a month plan plus 15 a month DSL) it is well worth it and I recommend it to you with little reservation.

I had the same problem! Thanks for leaving that review, stating the good and the bad so the viewers of it can make a more rational decision!

Re: Cordia Review: Worth it.

Hey Jeff, what is your internet connection speed? I am thinking of going with Earthlink Lite cable internet at 768Kbps, and Vonage says they only need 90K. Probably the same for Cordia (?). Are you on DSL Lite at 256Kbps? (I'm currently still on free juno dialup and expensive POTS (~$50/month local and LD) and don't want to loose the reliability of POTS in an VoIP phone.)

Thanks!

Re: Cordia Review: Worth it.

Hi Joe (I got your email, by the way), my internet speed is as follows (I took it from the voipspeed test page on here): 743 kbps download, 137 kbps upload, 99% QOS, 3.5ms jitter, 0% packet loss, and MOS score of 4.0. If you want a little more advice, I put up what you might find a very interesting post a while back: http://old.voipreview.org/Forum/thread/64.aspx. Hope that helps!
