Earthlink customer support is very bad. My connection was accidently cancelled by an irresponsble customer support agent and I had to go through a nightmare to resolve this issue. It has been 48 hrs since I tried contacting them with no result.
There are differnt levels in customer and technical support and you get shunted between each departments and levels and no one provides you an answer (this is a vicious circle and pls dot get caught in it). I even tried to get the notice of corporate office is GA. I spoke with a External relatiohship executive and he promised me to get the customer service to contact me. But I think he too has the same level of difficulty, I havent got any call from any one and my wait to get the phone service reconnected still continues.
Pls anyone who wants to choose Earthlink ... Stay away from them .. Dont waste you money and especially your time (You will end up hearing the music while they put you on hold).
This is not the same earthlink as before .... I think they are planning of closing the business (else why would you find blogs and websited ... which address the wooes of customer and their nightmare with earthlink customer support team) .. pls google "earthlink sucks" and you will know what I am talking about.
Pls Pls stay away from " Truevoice" .. I honestly dont know about the call quality because I spent most of my time trying to resolve issue with customer service and that was a nightmare.
Honest advise ............ Stay away from Truevoice.

I spoke with technical service (level3), but to my irony they too had to be put on hold for 2 hrs when they try to reach the installation department. Where in the world will this happen. Imagine the difficulty you would have to go through, if thier top level technical service department is treated like this.
Finally I have cancelled the account (had a peaceful sleep, after this 72 hrs nightmare). I have also decide to cancel the broadband connection I have with earthlink even if it is going to cost me. The time you will end spending is worth more than the few bucks you will save.
Do not get carried away by any deal you get from earthlink (thats a trap to get you into that nightmare). All their customer service agent and even the so called responsible person from corporate office wouldnt help you.
Please stay away. Plsease stay away. Please Stay away.
I am writing this because I dont want anyone to go through this. I personally dont have nothing against earthlink .... but with such customer support, the one who suffers is the customer. They havent learnt the lesson from AOL.
