hi , iam looking for a voip device thats really good and great value for money ,i seen few devices with my friends but these guys are not very satisfied with what they have and keep complaining of money they pay it for not using it. thought i'll put my quetion here and look at my options .i basically need a voip service which is free for a start so, i'll not be paying for not using it as my friends do. thanks:-

Hi Samuel, what type of voip calling are you interested in? Calling from your PC or with a phone? And what type of calling are you interested in for making free calls (i.e. long distance, international)?

hi, jeff well, iam looking for voip with a phone, i don't want to sit near my computer to make a call,, and i want to call long distance for free. thank you

Hi Samuel, I've looked on this site and did not find this particular provider, called IPVaani. I saw something in this forum about them, however, and looked at their site. They sell a voip adapter for about 80 dollars, if I remember correctly, which allows you (once you have it) to call any other people that have that adapter as well, allowing for free long distance to fellow IPVaani users. That's the closest thing to what you're looking for that I can think of. If you find anything else, let me know, I'd definitely be interested! Have a great day!

Hey Samuel ! I have been using VOIp for a while ,it's cool but the customer service is weird and the bils are very high often so i am unhappy with them! I have learnt that they charge a cancellationa fee of $39.99 whcih is ridiculous! I need to reseach a a list of good service providers! My friend just suggseted me about Raketu whcih offers free calling to 42 countries for the first 60 minutes and also offer Multi Messenger set up which enables chatting with a singe application rather than opening multiple windows for MSN,ICQ and google !There are a lot of other exciting facilities whcih I need to check out!

Hi jeff, I went through the IPvaani site and it looks cool ,its for $86 which is a small price ,calling other person with the same adapter aswell for free is ok with me anyhow iam just want to try it ,and if it works good i'll like ask everybody to get it ! its coming for small price anyhow.thanks jeff.

HI tech, which VoIP charges you so much for cancellation ,tell me about it i better be aware of it ! i dought i'll take a chance with raketu ,too suspesious. hey tell me about your research.

hey samuel Based on the replies, it looks like you want free internet calling, using a device, without having to pay monthly taxes or cancelation fees. I use that with inphonex, and used to have Vonage (just for say, IM NOT ADVERTISING AND I DONT WORK WITH THIS COMPANIES). So, just telling my experience, Vonage is having some problems now, but they used to give you a device for free if you buy their plans and you could talk freely from one vonage number to other. After I leave Vonage and paid some fees for cancellation, I started using inphonex, I bought a device for 39 dollars more less which give me a number with no monthly taxes to call to other inphonex numbers for free, plus I can buy credits to call to PSTN numbers or buy a incoming number to receive calls from it with no cancelation fees later if I don't want to use it anymore. I believe that many providers has this kind of service and you should look for the one that best fits for you.
