Voip phone service not working with lap top computer...Why?

I have a latitude/D610 lap top computer, with a sprint broadband card. I can't seem to get my Voip phone system working. I have a Linksys Voip phone adapter with router, and I have a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4 GHz 54mbps Broadband Router. I did the Voip Speed test and these are my results: Download speed is 871kbps, Upload speed is 722kbps, Quality of service is 99%, Jitter is measured as 0.2ms, Packet loss at 0.0%, and MOS Score is estimated to be 4.2. Can anyone help me..Tony

who is your VOIP provider? did they provide you VOIP box? let me inform you that VOIP boxes does not work with laptops, these boxes only work if it's connected to your internet modem then only your phones can be connected to it, not your laptop. If you want to use laptop with VOIP, you need to get VOIP software. I tried that before with my VOIP provider which is Nomado, since I travle a lot i want to use my laptop for making calls, but i made a mistake at first by ordering the Nomado box since it does not work with laptop, so what i did is get the softphone from them so I could use my laptop if I want too. They also advised me that I can use my cellphone which I did not know at first coz with my VOP provider before, they dont work with cellphones.
